Fastpass+ limit of 3/day removed

I wonder if I cancel out my 3rd pick after using 2 if it would let me select a new one at another park?

As it is now, once you use the 1st selection it locks that park for all 3.

So if I only want 1 FP at HS in the morning can I cancel the 2nd and 3rd then create a new FP at AK when I get there.

We should just be able to select 3 passes between 3 parks and then add more once used.

::yes::
Guests will also be able to select and use their additional FastPass+ entitlements when they hop from park to park.
you will be able to book one FP+ at another park while still at the first, as long as you don't have any active FP+ left at the first park. after that FP+ is used, you can book another (at any park), and over again.

Good news.

The My Disney Experience app tied to the FastPass+ program will not be used initially to get additional passes.

"We are working on ways to make this available on the app," a Disney World spokeswoman said Thursday.

And this is good too.

This is not true. As of now Disney says you must be in the park you want the extra FP+ at to get it.

"Guests will also be able to select and use their additional FastPass+ entitlements when they hop from park to park".
added will be "a feature that enables the ability to make those additional selections while park hopping".
so it appears that ability will be as stated, on the release date.

:)

^That is ambiguous language. If, as stated in the announcement, you won't be able to get them yet on my MDE and instead have to use the kiosks at the parks, there would be no way to get them "while park hopping" unless that means at the first kiosk you can hit at the new park.

This is good...question, though...

Say I book FP in advance for the nighttime...does this mean that I won't be able to schedule any FP in the morning at whatever park I visit?

It sounds like that won't even be an option day of as long as I have night time ones reserved...

Yes it does which is a major flaw especially if you book Wishes.

So starting Monday, after guests have used their first three FastPass+ selections, they will be able to select another one at one of the kiosks located in each of our WDW parks. When they’ve used that one, they’ll be able to select another, and so on, ultimately providing guests with even more ways to customize their Walt Disney World Vacation. Guests will also be able to select and use their additional FastPass+ entitlements when they hop from park to park.

The system should just be a simple:

1. Book ANY 3 FP+ you want between 3 parks.

2. When "2" passes are used or expire you can add 1 extra for wherever you want. (This will solve the wishes problem)

3. You can continue to get a new FP+ as each additional 1 expires.

Yes, that would be ideal...because then someone can book at different parks for different times of the day...

We always park hop and do one in the morning and one at night...so allowing the book of 3, no matter the park and only allowing new ones once others are used would definitely benefit those wanting to do the night time shows...

At least, though, they are making adjustments to it and hopefully, when they get feedback about this move, they will eventually go to "book 3 in advance whereever you want"....

FP for nighttime shows are basically worthless. If you really want one, just wait until late in the evening.

It is good, when it works. Leaving Tommorrow after a 10 day trip. And about 1/2 dozen problems. I also needed to use my dh mb, instead if the person in the room, and couldn't change them. (Dh canceled day b4 trip and mother came instead.). Some vanished, some had different times listed from clearly showing on my phone. You need to keep track and bring proof with you. It was more stressful, and broken than old system. This doesn't include the 3 sets of mb I had, or the ADR for cape may clearly listed on my phone (wow app), that was clearly not in the computer at cape may. Hopefully it improves :(

I AGREE WITH YOU 100%!!!!

We had exactly all the same issues the entire week stay March 28-April 5. It was SOOOOO frustrating. We started taking screen shots of our FP lineups because attractions were disappearing as were members of our traveling party on the phone apps. And we had droids and iPhones among our group of 10. Our bands were not always working to get us admission to the parks....open our hotel doors......pay for items using our PIN and so on etc etc.....
We easily spent 10 hrs during that entire 8 day trip just waiting in line to get things straightened out with Concierge, Front Desk, Guest Service or on the phone with IT. And we witnessed MANY others doing the same. Really put a damper on our trip (which was also my daughter's wedding week there). So emotions were high and all the issues did not make things any better. My husband's PIN stopped working on day 5 or 6 of our 8 day trip in World Showcase while trying to purchase sushi and saki. When we got back to BLT and asked about the PIN issue at Front Desk, they told him he had never set his PIN :scratchin:furious:
So he replied to them..."then who has been paying my bills the past week?". It was laughable the lack of knowledge and time spent with multiple issues.

I think it's going to be a while for all these issues to be worked out and for this system to be functioning at 100%. We would have been happy with 85% the week we were there......:confused3
And we are seasoned WDW travelers......can't imagine what first and second timers must have been going through! :scared1:

Sorry Mia that you had to stand in line so much trying to get this stuff straightened out.

I'm hoping they get the kinks worked out before we go next year.
