FastPass Key Card? What is this?

A nice person handed us FP for ToT and RNRC when we were at DHS in January. The man also handed us this card and told us we could get unlimited FP with it the rest of the day. We didn't need it, but I was curious what it is and how they are distributed. Any ideas?

Sometimes, for whatever reason, your VALID ticket will not work in the Fastpass machines. When that happens, a CM at the FP machine will give you that card. All it does is work in the FP machines. Mine didn't give unlimited FPs. It worked just like a ticket would have.

There may be other ways to get them, but that's one.

My experience has been the same as the PP. One of our tickets stopped working in the FP machines and they gave us one of those to use until we could get the ticket reissued. FPs are "unlimited" in the same sense that FPs are unlimited for a regular ticket; you still can only have one out until your window opens or two hours, whichever is sooner. You can't run around getting ten FPs for each ride all at once or anything like that.

I have an Annual Pass and it seems like every trip I have trouble with it in some Fast Pass machine. I always wind up with one those Fast Pass keys. As the other posters said, it just works like a regular ticket for Fast Pass Machines. You still only get one fast pass with it and still have wait until after your window to get another fast pass. I too usually give mine away as I'm leaving the park that day.

Ah, but with that key card, the OP or lucky second recipient can get a FP on their regular ticket, and then another OUTSIDE THAT WINDOW using the FP key card. Like having two tickets -- or a non-rider along. Very clever!

technically the CM shouldn't give you one until they verify your ticket isn't working though. but yes, there's still a gaping loophole there too if you're in that situation.
