For those of you who have gotten a Fastpass+ for Wishes... worth the use? Or do you wish you would have used it on other items and had the possibility for a 4th (or more) during the day? Thanks for the input.

Would not waste a FP on it again. For us it was like seeing the castle and fireworks separate instead of together. We prefer seeing them from the front of the castle..... And we were still in line for an hour so we could get a good spot in the rose garden. I think we are going to try the desert party next time.

I personally find fast passes for fireworks and parades to be a waste as there's tons of good locations. For wishes, you could easily find good spots shortly before it starts.

And it won't be available as a 4th FP. Wishes FP I'd say are harder to get than 7DMT

A new viewing area is opening up tonight that's more directly in front of the castle:

I don't think we would use a FP+ on Wishes. We prefer to use them on attractions so we are able to get more after we use our first 3.

We did the Dessert Party and really enjoyed Wishes from the Tomorrow Land Terrace

Yeah, that's we are going to try this year. Seems like a good way to kill time until the show starts

This is why I'm wondering if it might be worth it, with the new viewing areas opening. We just reached our 60 day mark earlier this week so trying to decide if we want to switch one on our last MK day.
Switch it and then decide whether to keep it. You don't want the option to disappear while you weigh the choices.

I got it for the first night we are there. Of course, we dont get to MCO until 4;45pm. This way we can go to MK and get a bit a little Disney Magic.

I've done both used a FP and not and have done the Dessert Party. For me the Dessert Party was a nice one time thing but not worth the money to do again since it's impossible for me to eat more than two desserts any way and we found where we were seated was right behind where everyone decided to stand in order to see. I'm short and my options were to be rude and try to push in front of everyone else being rude standing in front of me or just sit and watch the fireworks (they are in the sky after all) which I could have done anywhere in the park. When I did the FP it was simply because I didn't really like any of my other options for FP and had already booked the ones I was most interested in anyway. Sitting in the rose garden is a little uncomfortable since you are sitting on the ground (in my case I used my handy poncho) and they did start lining up pretty early. I was solo so I just lined up and read a book on my phone so that was no big deal. If I'm going to wait anyway, I have a favorite viewing spot that Tink flies right over that you have to get to early so that I wouldn't have to waste a FP anyway.

Just to be clear, the FP+ for Wishes is no longer in the Rose Garden (in fact, at least for awhile, they removed the Rose Garden from the Hub.)

The current FP+ reserved areas (there are two) can be seen below (highlighted in magenta.)
-------------------------------

Below is a "work-in-progress" of my overview of the new Hub.
Some of the "outer" sidewalks shown have not been built yet.
Some of the unfinished areas have since been finished.
Again, a work-in-progress, all the way around.

I went back and forth for a couple of hours and then booked a Wishes FP+.

I decided I could change it later if I didn't like the location. I'm hoping you don't have to sit on the ground. That is extremely uncomfortable for me and I have a very difficult time getting up and down nowadays.
If reports say you have to sit, then I'll definitely be switching it to something else later on.

Your only options are sitting on the ground or standing. Sorry.

We booked, I didnt mind the rose garden, preffered sitting to standing, while people watching parade, we went to Tomorrowland and walked onto Buzz, Speedway, Stitch and Laugh Floor. Got into line at 9:35, barely anyone there yet. Now that they've moved it we'll check out the view that morning, see if its doable.
For anyone that hasn't been lately its getting crazy if trying to watch in front of castle. We were trying to leave last Sept Wednesday after Labor Day (slowest week of the year)before celebrate the magic started and you couldnt move. They taped down a walk path and it was ignored. I could barely push a stroller through. Thankfully they have a cut through now so you can bypass Main street when trying to leave.

To be clear, they have "always" had the cut-through behind Main Street (and used it for well over a decade, when needed.)
It's just that they don't always open it to guests.

What IS new is that they are giving the area a "makeover" so that it doesn't just look like a
parking lot behind a strip mall.

(Un-improved area seen on the bottom image below.)
