FastPass for Soarin'--When?? What order?

I'm trying to figure out when it would be best to get a fastpass for Soarin'.

I want to ride Test Track and Soarin', and DH wants to ride Mission: Space. I will be skipping M:S due to motion sickness problems. So, it would be great if I can get the FP for Soarin', while he goes on M:S.

Here are two options:

1. At rope drop, DH goes to M:S and I go to Soarin' to get FP. We meet in front of Test Track and ride that standby.

Comments: More walking for me. Will TT be too busy by the time we get there?

2. At rope drop, we both ride Test Track. DH rides M:S, while I go over and get FP for Soarin'. We meet at the Land.

Comments: By the time we ride TT, will the FP for Soarin' be so pushed back that it will cut into our afternoon in the World Showcase? We plan on seeing Honey I Shrunk..., Living with the Land, and Spaceship Earth.

Go get the fast pass for soarin while he is riding ms. then go on test track. I had the same problem as you. I found out last trip that you can hold onto your fastpass and use it anytime that day after the time stated. For instance if the fastpass says 1:00 to 2:00, you can go at 6:00. So we got out fast pass for soarin, went over and rode ms and test track and then went and did the countries. Later that day, we went back to soarin.
