FastPass for Maelstrom not available?

I couldn't find the fastpass for maelstrom for our trip November 1-5, haven't seen any real posting for refurb - did I miss it?!

Word is that it'll be closing on 9/27 for a Frozen refurb.

Fastpass through October 1st showed up today.

I was able to get Fastpasses for 9/30, but not for any days in October.

We are going in Oct and was not able to get a FP for it. I emailed Disney and this is their response.

As of an hour ago there was Maelstrom Fp+ availability on October 2.

Do théy usually announce refurbs? When I booked our October FPs, maelstrom simply was not listed as an attraction to choose - I figured that WAS their "notice"
