So our opening window hit and we were unavailable to get an A&E meet and greet, but this is an ABSOLUTE MUST for our family. Our group is 6, so perhaps that was part of the issue. Also, we are only staying on property for 2 nights so our trip window is not very big.

Anyway, we do not have an early dining reservation, but because we are determined to go see A&E on a relatively medium crowd level day, is there a better time to wait in line? When I have been there in the past, even heading right there when the park opens, there are generally a huge group of people waiting because they got inside before rope drop.

Can there be a better time of day to wait in line than opening?

Thank you in advance.

The number available for any given time slot is very small. The problem is that if only 5 spots are available, it won't pair you up with an overlapping time for the one remaining person. It will just say it's unavailable. You have to do that yourself. So start looking for overlapping times. Cumbersome I know, but it works for lots of people.

Legacy would just spit out the next 6 tickets and they would sometimes overlap.

As for alternate times, it's pretty much what you'd expect: during the parade, during the fireworks, late at night.

Not sure when you're going, but keep checking. It took me several weeks to actually get overlapping times for all of us.

Do all of you need to meet A&E? My DD is the only one that wanted to meet them so we just got a FP for me and the cm let her in even though she had no fp.

The CM shouldn't have done that unless your daughter was under 3 at the time since under 3 doesn't need a ticket and therefore wouldn't be able to get a FP. Everyone who gets in the meet and greet FP line is supposed to have a FP.

Meh I had zero interest in meeting anna or Elsa I just stayed back while my DD met them. My daughter was 3 and had a valid ticket. She scaned her band and the cm changed something on it.

It doesn't matter - you were in the line and both your daughter were supposed to have FPs.

The problem though is by you saying that you and your daughter were able to get in on just one FP, people reading your post are going to think that they can do the same thing, when they can't. The CM bent the rules for you.

I just mentioned it in case the meet was for a little little girl wanting to meet the princesses. I doubt any CM is going to deny access to a little kid if the parent has a fp.

You're probably right, but it's not something I would count on. It varies from CM to CM.
OP, keep trying. I am always playing with the fps and I often come up with at least 4 A&Es a few days to a few weeks before the date I plug in. People are always grabbing a couple of days worth until they "shore up" their plans. I did likewise last visit, then I ended up coordinating with a nice person I met on here to transfer the passes. (I dropped them and he was able to pick them up because we both went online at a designated time - it worked!)
