Fastpass Enforcement coming?

No one said anything about it being a secret, except you. But "policy" is published to all and this never was.

You didn't call it a secret, but many others on these pages have. Like I said, your position on what constitutes "policy" brings this thread full circle yet again, so I will go back to posting only smileys! :)

Here is the Disney "policy" There was guidelines for CMs as to what to do when a guest showed up late and yes they were advised to let them in. That however does not constitute policy.

Policy would be on the Disneyworld.com website and it would state in writing for all to see that Fast passes can be used anytime and that is not what it said.

Even Disney expected everyone to adhere to the one hour policy because in the information they state, "If the return time is one that works for you" if policy was come back anytime why would that be included.

We have gotten fast passes every trip since they came out with it and not once did any CM come up to us and say, "you know you can come back anytime you want"

I think for some strange reason some want to believe it was policy, why I don't know because does anyone really care, I don't.

Once more around the block if you please...

You can roll your eyes all you want Bob, it does not prove anything, except you can not find anywhere in writing by Disney and shared to all, that the policy was to come back any time you want.

If you can then show me and I will gladly say you are right it was policy.

So, Disney's response was, "too bad..so sad?" Hmmm...let me think about it. My choices are..SPEND $350 at HBD and stand in a 90-120 minutes line for TSM, if my coveted golden ticket (otherwise known as FP) conflicts with my dining ressie (that I booked 6 months ago) OR...NOT eat their over-priced food and use my FP within the window? Does Disney REALLY want me to make that decision? Do they REALLY want me to lose my dining experience (aka my $$$) and stand in line?:rolleyes1 Personally..I think, that's a VERY poor choice (and attitude) to give a PAYING customer. Actually, the CM was quite rude. IMO

Of course, I will be able to book my dining ressie and attractions, etc., all at the same time with the new XPass. Now, all that's left? How much more, it will cost me. :thumbsup2

Actually CM stated obvious, if you have an appointment you do not schedule another one for the same time. :confused3 Of course we can always scream how dare they make the guest to actually look at the time, to actually follow rules, how dare they not provide perfect weather and no crowds, you know the usual entitlement statements...

Are you aware that these points have already been covered ad nauseum?

For someone who continues to reiterate over and over how they could care less either way, you sure do seem to care...:confused3

It was very rare, (almost none existent) for a CM...to even bat an eyelash, at a late FP. It wasn't just a handful. Someone instructed the CMs to honor them. It wasn't posted, but nonetheless..I believe, it was Disney policy.

There was a Disney internal guideline on how to deal with a guest that showed up late, that is not policy.

There is a difference.

Disney has many internal guidelines to help CMs deal with situations. And they have policy, they are not the same.

For example Policy is they do not give free upgrades to everyone that asks for one or to everyone that checks in. They do however have a guideline for the CMs to go by as to how to give a free upgrade.

Not even close to the same thing. A free upgrade is something that happens sometimes, but not everyone can get. Using FP after the window was available to ALL guests at any time for any reason.

I don't care that people did it. I do care that people seem to think that it is was policy. That is all.

:goodvibes

Why are we still debating whether allowing people to use FPs late was policy or not? Whether it was public or not, official or not, it met the definition of policy. Feel free to waste more pages on whether it was official or unofficial, however.

We've got 120+ more pages to kill before March 7th... :)

So you want to ride Toy Story AND show up for your ADR? You silly person. Your expectations are just way too high.

And you left out a piece of the equation. Your choice is NOT to either ride or miss your ADR. Depending on where you are eating, your choice could be to ride Toy Story or miss your ADR ... AND the $10 a head no-show fee. Oh, and if you're on the dining plan, the potential loss of your dining credit.

You should be happy to just be NEAR Toy Story. I'm sure you've done the ride before. Do you REALLY need to do it again? Sure, you're paying $90 to walk in the gate, but you need to leave those experiences for the 99% who haven't had a chance to do them before.

I think the CM's response was not "too bad so sad" - it was pointing out that you shouldn't have pulled a Fastpass with a return time that corresponded to your ADR in the first place. You should have gotten one earlier, or waited until later.

Of course, that's easier said than done at some attractions. TSM, for instance - blink and you miss it.

SO TRUE~!!
......I vote we go back to the morality and ethics of late FP use.:rotfl2:
