Fastpass date availability

I have a friend that recently booked a trip for October at POR. We had already talked about Fastpass and the 60 window for guests staying onsite. When he booked, he was told by the disney rep that he would be able to book fastpasses at 30 days from his trip start.

Has anyone else heard of this happening? I'm wondering if this is an attempt to distribute the timeline guests have to book? Or did he just get a rep that didn't know what they were talking about?

Never trust anything that a phone CM tells you.

Onsite guests can book FP+ at 60 days out.

It's 60 days prior to check-in when your friend can select his FPs as long as he has an onsite reservation. Either bad info or your friend misunderstood. Active tickets open the 30-day booking window.
