Still not traveling to Disney World until November, and my family plans to stay offsite during the week at someplace like Windsor Hills.

However, planning to spend the first day onsite due to Anna and Elsa, so I can reserve a fastpass 60 days in advance. My question is this: Do I need to book an onsite room a second day in order to get a Toy Story fastpass? I went in October, got there about 9:20 for a 9:00 opening, and the line was 90 minutes long and paper fastpass return times were at at like 6 p.m. We left way before that.

If I have tickets in hand, do I stand any chance of getting a fastpass 30 days out in between 9 a.m. and like 1-2 p.m. for Toy Story?

Nobody knows at this point what will or won't be the case in November.

We don't know how things will progress as more and more guests are folded into the FP+ mix.

Things are still in flux, so what may be the case today won't necessarily hold during the Summer and
with changes that Disney may make to FP+ during this upcoming season.

There's a good likelihood of that. We were offsite for our most recent trip and had TSMM FP+ for 10:45-11:45 on our first DHS day and 11:30-12:30 for our second. Both were booked at the 30 day mark.

Great to hear. I have a party of four but we're (theoretically) going during a low-crowd time of the year (Nov. 15ish).

We are going next month, staying at Shades of Green (so offsite for the purposes of FP+). The only FP+ I was unable to obtain at the 30-day mark was A&E. We got Toy Story for our party of 5 with no problem with an 8:45am-9:45am window (we will be at DHS on a Star Wars Weekend, so park opening is 8am).

We also are staying offsite and had no trouble getting TSM Fastpasses at the 30 day mark. (I was on, however, right at 12:00am EST). We are going in June. There are 19 of us in my group...4 different families. All were able to get morning FPs times that overlapped for TSM.

We stayed at the Palace at Windsor Hills, and it was GREAT! Absolutely perfect (once we actually could find our Villa place, don't ever use google! And once we got the right code to get in.)

We also got our FastPasses about one week out, I made some changes, and I still had lots and lots of times to choose from. We made the choice for Aerosmith assuming we could get there at rope drop and get in line for TSMM, not a good assumption... we did pull in at 9:05am and the line was already 60 min! And it never really got under that at all, but neither did RR...

Anyway I don't think you will have problems with your reservations even if you stay off property.

We also stayed at Royal Parc Suites and enjoyed it too. These were the two land weekends sandwiching our sea weekdays...

Thanks, everyone. I sincerely appreciate the feedback and tips.

Love the Disboards.

You should easily be able to grab a TSMM FP+ for early when you book it. I've picked the FP's just a couple weeks out and had no trouble getting the times I wanted. So 30 days out, you should be fine.

That ride is one of the most popular rides. We got there about 20 to 30 minutes after opening and the line wait posted was 90 minutes. We did it anyway but times ourselves while there. It was really a little over 2 hours! Ouch! One ride and done day.
