Hi all! Our fastpass window opened up today and we were able to secure pretty much everything we wanted around the times we wanted! Woohoo!! My question lies in linking family and friends looking for others experiences here.

We have friends who live in the Orlando area who are joining us for our last park day 2/2. (We are staying on site, they are not) I linked their tickets to our account to make their fastpass reservations with ours, and while I am able to select two of them (4 people total) it won't let me select the other two, even though I can see their tickets. I was under the impression as long as their tickets were linked to our MDE account I could book them all under the 60 day window as well. I called Disney and the lady explained to me that their tickets could only be booked at the 30 day window (since they aren't linked to a resort reservation) and she couldn't understand how I was able to book anyone else at 60 days. I am so confused as to what is correct. If it helps the two I can't seem to book are value magic kingdom tickets. Thanks so much for your help. I hope this post isn't too confusing.

Did you try "Change Party" to include them in your booked FPs?

If those 2 want a different FP than the others, you have to include an onsite guest within their grouping to have the 60-day window. Then, remove the onsite guest from the grouping and book the FPs.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes I tried that way as well and for some reason it keeps saying they dont have a ticket linked, even though I can see it whenever I look at my tickets. So frustrating. And all the fastpasses are being booked with atleast one onsite guest.

Try again at exactly 60 days out from that MK day. The park and party specific tickets seem to have some type of restriction if the guests aren't on the onsite reservation.

I had this exact problem this morning. Today is my 60-day window and I was able to book FP+ for myself with no problem, but my aunt is joining me on Jan. 28 for the day and isn't on my resort reservation. I have a park ticket linked to her in my MDE account but was unable to make FP+ for her, so I called and was told in no uncertain terms that if she is not on a resort reservation, I can only make FP+ for her 30 days out. I even told the woman on the phone that it was my understanding that as long as someone in the FP+ party had a resort reservation, we could make FP+ 60 days out, and she said, "No, only the people on the reservation can make fastpasses 60 days out. For anyone not on the resort reservation, it's 30 days."

Thanks for reporting that info. I believe it's the single day tickets for a specific park that can't be umbrella'd into the 60-day booking window.

Try at 60 days out and if that doesn't work, it will at 30.

Yep, that's what my aunt's ticket is...just a base Epcot ticket for Jan. 28. Disappointing that I couldn't make her FP+ reservations today, but not the end of the world. I'm sure the FP+ she wants will still be available at 30 days.

Good idea...will try at 60 days out and if that doesn't work, we will try at the 30 day mark. I have the fastpasses for those I could book, so hopefully I'll just be able to add the extras on to our party. :) Thanks so much for all the advice!

Yeah I'm so bummed. It's so strange, because I was able to book two of the four 1 day tickets no problem, but the other two I can't. It's so strange to me that it can work for some and not others. I understand why, but still a bummer no less. What I did was went ahead and booked the fastpasses I could and I'm hoping at 30 days out I'll just "change party" and add the extra folks in. Fingers crossed for you guys! We will be there at the same time as you guys!! Bright side is we are now 59 days away!!!!! woohoo! :)

Just thought I would let everyone know that trying 60 days out from the 1 day value Magic Kingdom tickets did not work. Even with them being linked to our account (we are staying on site) I couldn't get them to go through. So I went ahead and booked what I could under the people that I could and hopefully I'll be able to add them to our fastpass reservations at 30 days. I'm a little bummed out, and still unsure of why I can book fastpasses for two of the one day tickets but not two of the other ones (4 total), but C'est La Vie I suppose. Now we play the waiting game!
