Can you do both? DH and I both want to ride Space Mountain, but DS is thinking he would rather wait until next year. So, can we get Fast Passes and then Child Swap at the right time? I'm finally ready to ride Space Moutain (go me) but if we are both going to have to wait in line separately to do it, I will opt out since DH loves the ride.

Thanks for any help!

yes you can get a fastpass and child swap. when you go to enter the fastpass line tell the attendant you need to child swap and they will usually give you a slip of paper sometimes they do sometimes they don't. when the first person gets done with the ride they then let the other adult go without having to wait in line. I mean you might have to wait a few minutes depending on the ride but it is usually not long. We use this all the time it is the only way to go for the thrill rides when you have little ones. I just wish other amusement parks would do this. Six Flags does something like fastpass but you have to pay for it.

The other nice thing about being able to do both is two friends are able to accompany you. So, if you are traveling with a bigger party, someone in your group can ride twice! Good stuff!

If your son is tall enough to ride they may make him go through the queue with you. In December a CM refused to give us a FP for my scardy-cat 5 year old DD who was tall enough to ride. We had to swap at the end of the queue and the loading attendents sent us down a ramp to the ride exit where you get out of the car where we waited on a bench. When my DH arrived, he waited with my DD and I walked back up the ramp and got back in line at the head of the queue. {{sigh}} The days of fast pass/baby swaps double-dipping are over.

ETA: Tower of Terror also requires children who are tall enough but not brave enough to swap inside at the chicken elevator.

We would be given a rider swap ticket along with our fast passes. The CM would just have it in their pocket. It worked very well. The only place where we were told they don't do a baby swap in any way, shape or form was Buzz Lightyear. I was afraid the noises would upset my baby, but we took her on it anyway and she did fine. It just surprised me since everyone else was very accomodating about it - even non scary rides. Sometimes we would still have to swap because she was asleep in the stroller or something like that...My suggestion would be just to tell everyone you see along the way that you are baby swapping since everyone seems to have their own way of doing things!
