Hi! I can't believe we are 68 days out! The times has flown by and I can no longer put off "researching fast pass". It seems so daunting that I keep putting it off. LOL. Anyway, we are staying on property, there are four of us (two 12 year olds, husband and myself), rope droppers and most importantly we LOVE thrill rides. What is your advice is terms of scheduling our fast passes for each park? Thank you!

There are so many variables that there can never be a single "best practice". Here are some assumptions to work off of:
  • You are going in July, so it will be crowded.
  • Thrill rides are always among the most popular attractions.
  • Getting a Same Day FP as a 4th or 5th or 6th for thrill rides is getting more and more difficult. And by July, perhaps impossible.
  • Rope Drop is still the best strategy for beating the crowds.
With all that said, and assuming that you want multiple rides on the thrill rides, my suggestion is to use RD (or morning EMHs) to get in as many rides as possible before crowds build. Then, use your FPs later in the day. (No earlier than 11:00 a.m.). How late is up to you. At the MK, it is still possible to get decent Same Day Fast Passes, just not for the super popular rides. So I wouldn't schedule your FPs too late on the days you go there. You want to be able to book more in the late afternoon or evening. So plan on using up your FPs by 2:00 p.m. to start looking for additional ones. At the other parks, it doesn't matter as much. You aren't going to find a Same Day FP for something like Test Track or Rock-N-Roller Coaster unless you get really lucky. Instead, count on only one ride on those attractions after your early morning successes, (unless you don't mind 75 minute waits. But it sounds as if you are trying to avoid those). Bottom line...we like using our FPs in the MK in the late morning, early afternoon as getting additional FPs is possible. Just not for the major attractions. At the other parks, we assume that we will not get additional FPs, so we use them at our leisure, usually mid-to-late afternoon. If we get additional ones, great. But we don't expect it. (Note: None of this accounts for later hours at AK. We have no experience with that yet.)

Good luck!

I know you originally posted on the main TPAS board so I want to alert you to the FP Superthread where attractions are discussed along with FP booking strategies. It sits at the top of this subforum:
The FastPass+ Frequently Asked Questions Superthread

@JimmyV gave you excellent advice in regards to timing your FPs.

Within the FP Superthread, the 4th FPs and so on are referred to as "day of" FPs so as to not confuse readers with SDFP (Same Day FP) which is a completely different concept. Didn't want you to be confused as the SDFP thread is usually on the first page of this subforum.
