We are doing photopass session at the Poly, and need to check in at 3:45. It is in our best interest to let DD2 nap as long as possible (If you know what I mean! ;) ) Anyway, we are staying at the POP. I know that a taxi would probably be the fastest, but I really don't want to do that if I can avoid it without carseats for my two girls. (What are the laws regarding that, anyway?)

Other thoughts?

Probably bus MK, then either boat or monorail back to the the Polynesian.

You don't need carseats in a taxi (although I do recall that when we used a towncar from the airport to the Dolphin, they had booster seats). For convenience, I'd do the taxi (maybe call ahead if you really want a booster seat and see if they have one?).

You won't have car or booster seats, or seatbelts for that matter if using the buses. I don't understand why people are concerned about carseats in taxis but don't think anything about it for the buses, isn't it just as dangerous, maybe more on the bus because the child could be standing.:confused3

Buses are just as susceptible to sudden stops or accidents as taxis are, aren't they?

Major accidents are very rare on Disney buses.

Sudden stops are not that uncommon, but they don't usually result in injuries, let alone major injuries. You're not likely to go through the windshield or the like, as could easily happen in an accident in a taxi or private car.

A properly supervised child should not be standing on the bus when seats are available. If the child is standing because there are no seats, the responsible adult should be sure they are holding on to something, and probably stand in front to catch them if necessary. If the child is too small to hold on, the adult should be holding them.
