Fastest route from CBR to MK

we are staying at CBR in early August. We are going to MK for EMH morning hours. How much time should we give to get to MK front entrance no later than 8 am? We will have a car there, are we better off taking the busses or driving to TTA, or to another location? Still have a lot of time but it doesn't hurt to know now!

You're typically better off taking the bus from CBR to the MK. If you drove you would have to park in the main MK parking lot then do the tram to the monorail/ferry in order to get to the MK. The bus will drop you off right outside the MK turnstiles. There are early busses running from all the resorts for EMH. Still, allow yourselves about an hour.

Glad you asked this question! I was wondering the same thing! We have ADR 10 minutes after park opening and were debating on how to get there and how early to leave.

We have always had success by being at the bus stop at CBR 60 minutes before wanting to arrive at MK. Haven't missed a rope drop or pre MK opening ADR yet.

Actually, the park buses start running at 6:30am regardless of park opening time.

Keep in mind you can pretty much get any here on property for a $20 taxi ride. We've personally only did it once, and that was for Star Wars weekends when we needed to be at HS by 7:15. I try to budget one or two taxi rides in each trip now.

True, but a taxi cannot drop you off at the MK gates or even at the nearby bus depot. A taxi would have to leave one at the TTC where one would need to ride the ferry or monorail to the MK gates, or at the Contemporary where one would need to walk (about 10 minutes) or monorail to the MK gates.
