Fastest Place to get embroidered mouse ears

It's been a few years since I've been to WDW (and even more since I needed Mouse Ears!) but my co-worker is headed there this week and has offered to get Mouse Ears for my grandkids. I don't want her to spend alot of time doing me this favor so can anyone tell me the quickest way to buy them and have them embroidered with names?? I remember purchasing them on Main St and then taking them across the street for the embroidery. Is this the way it's still done?? Does anyone know if they're available in Downtown Disney anywhere?? Thanks!

The Chapeau on Main Street does them right there while you wait. We got some for DS in Dec 04 and it only took a couple minutes.

You can buy hats in The Chapeau, no need to buy them elsewhere. Got a couple done last year, and it was quick.

We once got embrodered hat at the Christmas store in Downtown and it cost a lot more but the embroder isnt a thin little line. Its way more professional looking. It took maybe a half hour? we bought it left the store and came back. What happened is we bought our grand daughter a hat in MK one day when they were there with us and my daughter decided she really wanted one for the baby a couple days later. Because a hurricane came we never got back to get him a hat so we found the one in the Christmas store, at least 50% more expensive is I remember correctly. His is a much nice embroder work than the one we got in MK.

They seem to make the name on the hats much faster in MK. I think it took 2 minutes to do.

I'm telling you - the Chapeau on Main Street is great! Plus some of the older CMs (who tend to work here) are A LOT faster and A LOT more efficient than the younger ones at other places in the park. (i.e. Sir Mickeys) When my DGf had her hat embroidered, it took this cute little old lady literally 45 seconds and it was PERFECT! We saw someone else get theirs done elsewhere in the park and it took a few minutes and the artwork was definitely subpar.

My DS's is gold. It is one continuous thinner line but it looks very professional.
