I've found a good deal for some parking at Manchester airport and it's asking if I want to do the fast track security thing.
Is it worth doing? has anyone used it?
we've been to Manchester many times and not thought about it but our flight is on monday in the October holidays at 1030. we wil arrive at the airport about 8am having done online check in. I know we haven't got a crystal ball but do you think it will be busy, with 2 kids is it worth doing.
Thanks

I would say yes it is worth it,that time of day is very busy. We used it last trip and for £4pp I'd do it again.

Went back to book and there's now an offer for half price fast track so getting them for £1.75, can't complain at that! if it's quiet then not alot lost!

We went on a Thursday 10.30 flight, arrived 7.30 & just got through in time to buy a meal deal & odds n ends from boots. It was manic. We couldn't do online checkin as it was Thomas Cook & all the flights out were in the same queue. Great price. Is it through the car people?

We use Manchester all the time and it really is potluck with the security. Even at busy periods such as Christmas we've walked through with no queues but at supposedly 'quiet' times the queue has been winding out of the main security area. For that price I wouldn't hesitate.

Used MAN well over 100 times, last year was the first time we have ever had to wait in a line. Took us about 15 mins to get thru. Every other time no wait at all.
It's just not a service I am willing to pay for, we either stand in a line(if there is even one there at all) or speed thru and sit to pass time.

Do you have to pay for this if you have children with a disability? Or is it like Gatwick where there is a separate line still for special needs? Or special assistance.
We're looking at some flights from Manchester.

I've not had it at MAN, it's always been busy when using the standard security check in for me.

Tinkerpea I was told that you don't have to pay if someone in your party needs special assistance. You get taken through the fast track lane as a matter of course, as apparently they are the ones with the specialist training in dealing with any kind of disability. That's what I was told by both Virgin, and Manchester Airport staff, before our flight last June.
