Hi everyone,
I need help with fastpass plus. We have been to wdw with the new fastpass system but never with several families.
My husband and I arrive 11/7 to 11/16.
My sister and her husband arrive 11/7 to 11/16. We plan to be in the parks with them for the first 4 days.
My husbands brother, wife, and 2 children arrive 11/10 to 11/16. They do not plan to be at the parks 11/10. We plan to be with them in the parks 11/11 to 11/16.
My husbands parents arrive 11/11 to 11/14. We plan to be with them 11/11 to 11/14 in the parks.
My question is about booking the fast passes so we can all ride together the days we are in the parks together. Should I book our fastpasses at our 60 day window or wait till everyone's 60 day window? Is there a way to add them if I already have existing fastpasses. It looks like there is a tab for that in the book fastpass section of my disney experience. Also we are all linked in the friend and family section of mde, but when looking to book fastpass not everyone shows up. Help! Our window opens in a few days. Trying to identify any problems now. Thank you for any help in this fastpass situation. I didn't see this covered in the fastpass thread.

1st thing is link family on MDE if you all are not on the same reservation. That way you can see their FP+.

You should be able to request FP+ for everyone on the days they are there 60 days out, if they are staying on site.

If not, at 30 days, you can copy their FP+ to yours. It may not be able to get the exact time as yours, but will get close or say not available.

Play around with FP+. It will give you suggested times, but after booked, then you can see if better times are there. If you book say 10am for Space, it will not show that time for any other attraction, so you got to change Space.

Have a great time!

We just had a similar situation, here is how it worked for us. Assuming everyone's mde accounts are linked. You will be able to book all your fast passes at 60 days from arrival. You will be able to copy fast passes to everyone else in your friends/family list at that time. That includes people whose arrival reservation is more that 60 days away.

I feel your pain! We'll be doing the same thing in a few months and I've already been asking lots of questions.;) As far as everyone being on MDE as Friends and Family, the issue I had is that even though I had added the adults in my family, and they had added me in turn; I hadn't gone in and requested their children to be added, so I couldn't see them. Is that perhaps your issue too?

As far as booking everyone at 60 days from your own window opening; that included family who didn't arrive until after you, for example if they were 61 or 62 days out from arrival - you could still book for them at 60 days from your own arrival?
I'm curious about this copy fast pass function; how does that work??
Thanks!

I am curious about this, too. I will be arriving 2 days before my daughter and her family. Will we be able to book all of them at my arrival date, or do I wait two days to book the days we will all share in the parks?

Also, I can see the people in my room on my reservation and I can see my daughter, but cannot see her husband or three grandsons on my MDE - what do we do about that?

I am sure someone else can explain this better, but I will try. On the Disney fast pass webpage there is an option to add family/friends to an existing fast pass. I believe this is called copying a fast pass. I've read that this is a good way to get fast passes for larger groups or to add people to your existing fast passes.

As far as opening of the fast pass window, I assumed that I would have to wait until everyone in the group was within 60 days to get fast passes for all. At our 60 day mark I thouht I would experiment with copying. I should add here that we were the first to arrive. I booked a fast pass for 1 person with the intention of adding the rest of my family to the existing fast pass. I was surprised to see that everyone in the friends/family list was available to be added to the existing fast pass (even though the 60 day window didn't open until the next day for the rest of the group). Hope that helped.

Thanks, that's great info for me and the OP - I hope it works for us when it's time! :goodvibes

Thank you everyone,
Your responses was what I was hoping to hear. Thank you I will try on the 8 th when our 60 day window opens.
Does anybody still know if everyone on the friend and family list should be showing in the fastpass making section of mde.. Right now only 4 of the 8 of us show up? I thought I read that they will show up at the sixty day mark or does one need to call. The children are not the only ones missing?
Thanks again!

Hi k2k2 - just checking back with you; when you booked your FP+ where you able to book for other's in your family who were arriving later than you on separate package reservations?

This is good information for me as I have a similar situation. My sister and her grandchildren arrive on a different date. I thought I would have to get Fast passes for us at different times. It would be so much easier if I can do everyone at one time based on my arrival date.

Yes, you can book for your linked friends and family.

We are checking in on-site and our family is joining us but staying off site. I can book all of our FPs at 60 days out. I was (happily) surprised!

We arrive three days after DD. Her FP window has opened. Ours has not. We are linked. She sees us. But she was not able to include us in her FP selections. On another thread I was told it won't work because my window hasn't opened yet. All kinds of people say it should work, yet no one who's done it has actually confirmed. I'm over it. My FP window opens Thursday so on Thursday I'll make the FP selections for the days we're together.

This is a big help for me. The arrivals for my party of 8 are spread over the first 4 days of our trip. Glad to know I can book FP+ for us all.

Op here. Yes it did work! We were able to book everyone's fastpasses at our 60day window, which was still a few days earlier than everyone else's 60day window. We booked fastpasses for myself and my husband at the 60 day window, then we copied the fastpasses for the other members of our travel group immediately after. Everyone showed up, it worked great. thank you every one.

Hi - that's great to hear! Did you experience any issues with the "copying" function . . .some people report that when they tried to copy, they lost their own FP, that would not be good! I'm wondering if it's because some people use the mobile app versus accessing thru the internet.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience and have a great trip!:goodvibes

Hi sherrkel,
No it was very easy to do. No problems except when we were double checking after they were all done we were missing one child on one of the days. Not sure if that was a glitchy thing or if we mistakenly missed him on original copying of fastpasses. It was probably our mistake. We just went back and copied him again.
I hope you have a great trip as well.
