I am guessing I will be put in charge of obtaining FP's for a large group of us that are going. 19 plus people. Is this accomplished by linking us all somehow on MDE? Is there a way to get some together and then get some things for the little kids that the older ones won't be interested and vice versa?

I just got FPs for 16.

Yes, find a "captain" or two, and link to all the guests. Then when you go to make FPs, you check some or all of the names you want FPs for and book. You can do the whole group or parts of groups. It will just take a little more time when breaking the group up.

Once you get everyone connected on MDE, you can "practice" on FPs that are available for you to book within the 30 day time frame. It will help you to get a feel for how it works with a large group.

“Practicing” is no longer a valid function because of date-based tickets. FPs can be booked at exactly 60 days from check-in for onsite guests and at 30 days out from each park day for offsite guests.

I wonder how I managed to practice. I guess because I have a military ticket.

You can split your fastpasses into smaller groups. If you all want to do the same ride then sometimes you have to split your group into different times within a 45 minute time slot. Then, you all go at the latest time to be all together.

You will need to coordinate among your group in advance. Some people can't handle roller coasters. Others are bothered by simulator rides. Still others can't do spinning rides.

Another consideration is logistics of the park. You don't want to do too much backtracking. You may want to separate into different groups right off and then meet for a specific ride or show or meals.
