Can someone explain the Fast Pass to me I have been reading about it in post, but have never heard of it. Thanks.

It is a ride management system used at certain of the more popular rides. If the line for a ride is too long for your liking, you stick your admission ticket into a machine near the ride entrance. The machine will spit out a ticket with a time range printed on it (for example: 2:30 - 3:30). The time range will be anywhere up to several hours after the then current time. At any time during that time range, you return to the ride, go to the Fast Pass entrance and stand in a line there, which line will be substantially shorter than the regular line (called the "Standby Line").

I believe you can only have one FP active at a time. Thus, you can't get another FP for a second ride until the time associated with your first FP has passed. (That may not be right - I am sure someone will correct me).

There are lots of FP strategies that people have, but we don't use it that much, so I can't be of much help in that regard.

I was going to explain it, but this link will probably do a much better job.

FASTPASS can be used by any park guest.

There are only certain attractions that FASTPASS is available for - usually the more popular attractions.

There are machines outside the attractions - above these machines is a "clock" showing the actual time & the time your FASTPASS will be good for when you receive it. (ie: Return between 12:05 p.m. & 1:05 p.m.)

You insert your ticket into the FASTPASS machine & you will receive another paper ticket showing what time you should return to that attraction. Don't forget to take your park ticket when you take your FASTPASS ticket! :D

You can now go do other things in the park.

When it is close to the time on your FASTPASS you return to the attraction you has the FASTPASS for.

There is a special FASTPASS line that you enter through. The CM will check your pass to make sure you are there at the correct time. You'll then proceed to the front of the attraction & will give your FASTPASS to another CM.

You'll be able to ride the ride/attraction with virtually no wait.

You can get 1 FASTPASS every 2 hours OR you can get a new one when you have used your first one, even if it is before the 2 hour time frame has expired.

They are great to use during busy times. Hope that helps!! :D
