I thought I understood FP but since I have been reading the boards I am not so sure. My impression was you could only get one FP at a time for each person. So if you get a FP for Splash Mountain when you first get to the park, you then can not go get one for Big Thunder Mountain. Is this right? If so, where is the time saved...only on Splash Mountain, not Big Thunder Mountain. You have to wait in line for that ride. So what is the secret for getting multiple FPs?

You can get a 2nd fast pass either once the 1st pass time has started or 2 hours after the 1st pass was issued which ever occurs first. So you can hold multiple passes if they have a 2 hour time difference between them. I hope this makes sence!

Yes and no. When you get a FP, it is clearly printed on that FP when the next time you can get another. At a minimum it will be about 45 minutes, and at maximum 2 hours. Then you can get another.

So take an example. You get a Splash FP at 11AM with a return window of 2-3PM. At 1PM (or earlier) you should be able to get another FP for say BTMRR because 2 hours have passed. Then you would have two at the same time.

There is no restriction on how many you can physically hold at once. The only restriction is is on how often you can get them.

also, at some of the more crowded attractions (soarin', safari, rock n rollercoast, tot, etc) sometimes a CM is just handing out the passes to save time. they'll ask how many, glance at the passes in your hand, and then either hand them to you or click the machine to give out that many passes. in that case, your pass never entered the machine so you can go to another ride and get a pass. but this is usually only during very busy times. (and how i was able to get 22 soarin' FP for my family of 8 on our last day there new year's eve, lol!!)

Thank you. I understand now....seems like a lot of running back and forth LOL.

Not so fast Webbie. During our last visit, some attractions allowed quests to get another FP just 5 minutes after the FP was issued. I don't know what all factors come into play on when this occurs and on what attractions, but if you know ahead of time, it would be best to grab a FP on one (or several) of these and then go to a major attraction (which probably will allow a new FP after a longer period of time) and get a FP. This worked out for us when we got a FP from the Jungle Cruise and then went directly to Splash Mountain and got a FP there after we used up our 5-minute wait period walking there....

How did you know you could get another in 5 minutes? Was that the time printed on the FP for next available time?

Yes, it was the time printed on the ticket for the next available FP. I didn't know that it was going to be only a 5 minute wait period until I had the passes in my hand since that information is not displayed. The only way I can think of to find out ahead of time is to ask someone who just got a FP what the wait period is on their FP.
