it will be me, DH, 5yo DD and 3 yo DS. DD is 42 inches and son 36.

This is our second trip and last time we had FP but also just kinda wandered around, this year I am trying to plan that we stay in one "land" in the am then after lunch go to a second "land" on days that are all MK days. On days that are 1/2 MK days we will stick to one land. So would you have all 3 FP stacked at rides next to each other or spread it out? Like if we do fantasy land and frontier land one day would you do all 3 FP for am in fantasy land and then none in afternoon and try to get the extra 4th one for the other land when done first 3?? I feel like it makes sense to stay in one land at a day be last year we walked ALL over! Also be we have small riders we can do rider swap for like splash Mountain, but what would I take DS to while DD and DH go on it while I wait to swap? That I could get the 2 of us a FP at same time too??

So confused pls any advice

I would do the FPs for the land you'll go to after lunch. Most bloggers that offer touring advice will say that the first 2 hours of park opening are your best chance at getting shorter lines. We have a FP for 7DMT and then Splash and Thunder. We plan on starting in Fantasyland and doing as much as possible in Fantasy Land, heading down to Dumbo and the Barnstormer if there's time, before our Mine Train FP. Then we'll head over to Splash and Thunder with plans to spend the evening in Tomorrow Land.

If you are doing Rider swap at Splash or Thunder, you could take DS for a walk or over to Aladdin's Magic Carpet. I know it's not "right there" but not too far of a walk. At least it's on the right side of the park.

There is a very small playground for little ones to the right of the entrance of Splash Mountain, under the railroad station. That's the perfect shady spot to wait while your family rides and keep the little one busy.

good to know as I had no idea this existed! We may be spending time there with DD if she isn't a fan of SM or BTMRR

My strategy is to book my first 3 between like 9:30-11:30am. Yes, try to pick some in a relative vicinity. Like don't do SDMT, then have 30 min to get to Splash mtn, then 30 min to get back to FL for enchanted tales.... But SDMT to space mtn and back would be ok (to me, at least). Anyway, whatever I choose, i try to make them start shortly after opening, then you have time to hit a few rides with short waits on your way to your first GP location. Get your fastpasses done, again look around for short waits on neighboring attractions to hit in between. But get them done early so you can start obtaining more. Know the BIG attractions that run out of FP, so you know what to grab before they're gone. Touring plans.com has a nice section explaining which ones to go after, when & why. Use the MDE app in the parks to check wait times as well, that will help you find the short waits to avoid needing a FP.

Yes my kids loved that little playground while waiting for us big kids to ride splash & BTMRR! It was great!

Both my kids love the play area under Splash! It's a great place to wait. The meet and greet for Woody & Jessie is right there too, so you could sneak that in while waiting. For Thunder Mtn, we like going over to the viewing area right where the ride lets out. It's a nice spot by the water and and it's a great spot to "wave" to whoever is on the coaster.
