Fast pass Strategy Question

My family and I (8people) are going to Magic Kingdom during Xmas week on an EMH day. We are going to spend the entire day; there is no one under 18. Do I get fast passes for the headliners in the afternoon? I am afraid that if I start trying to get new fast passes by 11:ish they will all be gone during such a busy week. And the possibility of getting 8 or even four fast passes when lines are at their longest! Help, please.

The earlier you get fastpasses the better. After you use your initial ones up you can then get more.
