Fast Pass Scheduling Last Week of August

We are headed to the World August 23-September 1 which will be our first experience using FP+. I have our fast passes scheduled, but trying to decide if I should adjust. A couple days I scheduled our last ones for the end of the day. At MK it's because I hear riding 7DMT is cool at night and at Epcot it's because I doubt we'll need fast pass for anything but Soarin' and TT so decided to use for Illuminations.

I'm looking for opinions from those that have gone during value times. Should I keep my end of the day fast passes or move to earlier times to score the E attractions multiple times with the 4th and on fast pass? We've been to Disney multiple times and like to hit as much as possible as long as we aren't running all over the place. We are two days at every park except AK.

If you want to hit as much as possible using FP then you should consider moving your late FPs to earlier. Illuminations is also a waste of an FP in my opinion. See the green link in my signature for more information.

We are there from 8/20-8/27. I have not used FP+ in the past either. I did move all of our FP to earlier times with the hopes of it either being slow enough to go stand by at night or that there would be a FP available later with #4 or #5. Hopefully it will work well for us. Worst case is we'll have to wait for a few attractions, including 7DMT later in the evening. Have a good trip.

Thanks for the feedback! I moved my later FP to earlier on both days. Since MK is open until 2am on the 20th, maybe I'll just have to stay up until then to get a shorter line for 7DMT

Appreciate knowing Illuminations isn't worth it. Changed to Character Spot since we haven't done much character interaction the last few times.

We'll be there 8/23-8/31. With the exception of one day, I have all of our FP+ booked for earlier in the day. We tend to be rope drop people as it is, and I was hoping by having the FP+ booked early we could try for the elusive 4th or 5th FP+. I know we'll be at the parks early in the day, but we're usually back at the hotel in the afternoon and our evenings are sometimes spent at parks, sometimes at DD, but I don't want to lock ourselves into anything then. The only day I do have evening FP+ booked is our water park day. I have FP+ booked for HS for the evening because we want to see Fantasmic, but honestly except for the Fantasmic FP, the others are kind of pointless since the main other one we would want would be TSMM and we can't book that and Fantasmic together.

I'm planning a trip for 17-28 August, and this doesn't sound quite right. Are you sure there's EMH in the evening on the 20th? I know a few weeks back there were some changes to EMH at all parks. It might use worth checking the park schedules to confirm...

Edit: MK is open until 2 on the 30th--so typo? I hope so! I didn't want to be the one to point out the discrepancy, because I would hate to have to deal with that kind of a problem so close to trip time. But it would be 1000 times worse to not learn about it until you got to the world.

We'll be there the 21-31st and I struggled with when to make FP+ reservations. I ended up doing most of them btw 10-1, so that we'd be done before lunch. I did this for a couple reasons. First, in a perfect world, it would give us a chance to pick up a 4th FP before sitting down to lunch. My initial plan was to make them for later in the afternoon, say post-lunch, but given the heat and the near-certainly of some afternoon thunderstorms, I decided that we'll probably be spending those hours in the pool or cooling off at the hotel.
