Enforced? or can I return whenever I want. Last trip to DL it was whenever we wanted, but we have seen the changes from that to the window being enforced to FP+ at WDW.

So what's the deal :confused3.

The secret rule at Disneyland is that you have 15 minutes after the posted time on the Fastpass to use it. Others have said it depends on the Cast Member, but I have never run into that CM and I go to the parks 3-6 times a month.

At WDW you seem to be able to use the FP+ 5 minutes before the posted time and 5 minutes after the posted time.

I forgot to add, that if you have a dining reservation or eating at table service restaurant and it takes place during your FP return time, you can talk to your server and they will update your FP so you can use it after your dinner.

This has worked for me at Cafe Orleans, Blue Bayou, and Carnation Cafe

We had reservations at carthay circle.....they couldn't seat us right away so we were late for our fast pass to cars by a half an hour. I explained to the cast member my situation that we were late. He asked to see the receipt from the restaurant and let us use it. Hope this helps

That's a very good tip!

It is great that they will do this for you. BUT....

IMO, if you KNOW you have a dinning reservation that is during the current FP return time, you don't pull that FP, you wait until it won't conflict.

Now I completely understand, say your dinning reservation is for 1:30pm and your FP was for 3p - 4p but because of delays in seating or serving you it takes much longer than normal. But if your dinning reservation is for 1:30pm and the FP you have is for 1:45p - 2:45p that was withing YOUR control to wait to pull the FP until it won't conflict.

I have a FP question.....are the fastpass ticket dispensers at each of the attractions like they used to be at DW?

The (old) FPs at WDW had encoding on the bottom which detailed the post-window grace period. Here's a photo which details everything on the FP. If you have a DLR FP, you can check to see if it's similarly encoded.
