Fast Pass Question ?

I was just going through my vacation backpack and guess what I found?
Four yes Four fast past tickets dated 8/02/04. Coincidentally will we will be at the World 7/27 - 8/4.

Need some advice....should I try to use them

To be honest with you, most of the people checking fast passes don't check the date, just the time. They are normally too busy. What are they for though? Because the haunted mansion doesn't use fastpasses anymore. I say it's worth a try.

Ummmmmmmmm..............don't those things have an expiration on them?

I doubt very seriously that they are still good after 2 years.

They are for test track.......a very important ride for my family.


The date on the fast past is very very tiny....

also, if they say no the first time, wait until you get a new CM, and try again.

My opinion is - use them. I asked this same question once before and got smacked severely by some folks - but they need a life. Anywhoo - Disneyland's official policy is to allow the use of FP anytime after the 'start' time (basically no expiration). At least that was the case when I checked last time I posted about this a few months ago. Disney World's position is 'no harm, no foul', basically leaving it up to the CM's. I had some give me a smirk and wink, and one lady who gave me a hard time but still let me use it. Our situation was a little different - trying to use it the next day as opposed to 2 yrs ago, but I know people who have used older FP's with success. You paid good money to get in the park, and if you didn't use the FP then, someone else had a shorter line. Kharma catches up - so maybe you'll get the spot of someone else who will use their FP in 2008!

Why not just go and get new fast passes!!!!!!!!!!

I predict the flames are gonna be coming. If it is the case that Disney's postion is "no harm no foul" then what's to prevent me from going on e-bay and buying some fastpasses for my favorite rides or not using any of them and selling them e-bay?

Wow, you got flamed for that? That's horrible. I do not see the harm at all in trying to use it. This person has been waiting in line for two years if you think about it! Besides, it is not going to put other people behind but a minute or two. Who cares!?

It does say on the back of fastpasses that they are valid only on the date they are issued.

Except for the message you are sending to your family, your attempt to beat the system that rots to begin with, the possible embarrassment when you are turned away (I believe they are coded by pictures or color), your inevitable attempt to justify your attempt to use them with lame excuses like, "I didn't know they expired". No one believes that!

On top of that the Fastpass for Soarin' is about 6 to 7 hours out, you can get one for both within a few hours and do it properly. JMHO!

Exactly goofyernmost.......I for one will NOT have my child look at me when I try to get around the system. I will show him/her the correct way of doing things. If that means they don't get to ride a favorite ride because the FP's are gone and the standby line is an hour or more, so be it. They will not see their Dad use expired FP's and possibly have to explain to them why they were turned away by a CM when they tried to use them.
