I thought I read somewhere that DVCers get unlimited Fast passes during a time window, versus just one like the regular joe. Is this a myth or fact?
Thanks, Jennifer

This is a myth. I've never read/heard about this since Fastpass has been around. How would the Fastpass ticket machines know if you're a DVC member or not? I'm pretty sure it's not encoded on your park ticket, park hopper, LOS pass and/or room key.

At Disneyland (California), they do have this when you buy a room and park hopper package. If you look at the details of the "Resort Magic Package", it explicitly says "Collect FASTPASS tickets for multiple attractions at one time...". So apparently at Disneyland they are able to encode this on your park hopper pass.

I haven't seen anything about this for Disney World, though.

I have read that some people who take a DVC tour get 2 Fastpasses per person as a "thank you" for touring. I believe they have to specify the attraction and also the time frame. Perhaps that is where the confusion is coming from.

DVC members can only get fast passes in the same way/manner as all other visitors to WDW.

MYTH But maybe with enough calls, e mails to DVC it will be FACT
There is no business justification for giving special Fast Pass benefits to DVC members.

If there are special "immediate return" or unlimited Fast Passes for one group, it means there are fewer regular Fast Passes and longer waits for everyone else. And that's bad for the guests who can't get the special Fast Passes.

I'd be more concerned that WDW would provide special Fast Pass benefits as an incentive to get generate new business -- for example, to people to buy deluxe hotel travel packages. And that would be bad for DVC members, because we'd be among the people who would wind up with fewer regular Fast Passes and longer waits.

That's what we got in early December 2000. I would have rather gotten the free meal I keep hearing about. We gave half our Fast Passes away, the ToT passes. We did use the TT ones.

When we toured in January '03, each member of our party was given a card the size of our room key that was good for two fast passes. We simply inserted the card into the fast pass machine of our choice and received a fast pass good for immediate entrance to that attraction. After two uses, the card no longer provided fast passes. As explained to us, the passes were to compensate for the "lost" time in the parks so that you wouldn't hesitate touring for fear of missing popular attractions.
