Fast pass is back…

Guessing you'd still need the 7am wake up call if you were planning to join the VQ for guardians or Tron. That was really my only stress in the current system. I actually enjoyed being able to stack rides and just go to HS at the end of the day and ride back to back to back.

Yea and good shot some of those are available, might be for that evening or night already, BUT with 3 rolling, it doesnt matter too much vs now where you'd be locked out for 2 hours min cause of that.
Yep - it will of course vary by park, but it's nice that you won't have to use your Tier 1 in order to book another Tier 1.

This brings back my constant FP+ "dilemma": book times that are most beneficial/impactful (mid day) or that will allow you to use and get more (early morning). But I'm guessing the consensus will be to book all three as early as possible to simply keep rolling throughout the day.

If I read it right, you can only buy the multi pass for 1 park per day. How does that work for hopping?

Never mind. I am wrong I think

Thinking about this more in regards to the 'muppet dump' -- if I book the muppets first thing in the morning with no intention of using it and sleeping in, can I book another ride as soon as the time on the muppet entry expires? Or am I out one of my rolling 3 if I miss an entry time as a penalty? (as an aside, I hate that I'm using the muppets as the example here b/c those 10 min are an American treasure.)

Another advantage to this change is that it should potentially allow you to use it multiple times for the same ride, whereas with Genie + we did not have that option (although I haven't seen anything that confirms this yet).
The guy who posted the blog post is answering stuff on X, its still one ride per pass, IE you cant book the same ride twice on the same day. Kinda a bummer.

Ugh, yea, I saw that note buried at the bottom of the when to purchase passes section (and have removed my comment)

Yes - you'll be able to make your fourth selection at time of scan or when your first selection expires, whichever comes first:

I'm most excited by the fact we can select a time range for the LLs. That's the biggest improvement from my perspective. I assume it's probably like FP+, though, in that you cannot overlap time ranges like I could with G+. If that's the case, we'll adjust.... again!

I'm pretty excited about this. We were FP+ power users and some things are now even better, we'll now make dining reservations before these. I'm definitely a little worried how much it'll cost though. I'm betting the lower tier will cost what current Genie+ does, add $10 - $15 for the higher one would be my guess.
Not sure what you mean by lower tier cost and higher tier cost. The LL Multi looks to be one price, like current G+. The LL Single is like current ILL with a separate fee for the biggest attractions.

I hope we can still overlap return windows - that was another benefit of G+ that we took great advantage of. BTMRR and Splash was always annoying, having to plan to ride one late in one window and the other early in its window. Or booking them on separate days.

If you watch the video they mention purchasing for a specific park to start with, I bet we will still have each park costing a different amount. But it sounds like they are doing away with the multipark pass, based on wording and video once you use one of your first of the 3 passes at the park you picked and paid for, you can get a 4th at another park if you have a hopper.

This might not be the case, but sure looks like it, they haven't explicitly said one way or another though if what I am guessing is how it actually will be.

Shall we take bets on whether the pricing is the same-ish as the current Genie+ or if it’s some multiple there of? My gut says it stays in the same ballpark, at least at first.
I think same pricing ball park. They already released a graphic with pricing which is a big mistake if they plan on increasing it drastically.
Would be a big mistake on Disney's end to show a price here if they plan on raising the prices. Given this is inline with the current pricing, I'm guessing no.

I glossed over this until just now, if thats accurate it sounds like when you go to sign up for the pass you can actually view and make selections before you actually buy? Huge concession to off site there. It's 3 days out and you're going to MK and every single tier 1 is gone, no reason to buy at that point if you wanted to do a tier 1 I guess.

The FAQ specifically says that you will pick a park to start. And after using your first pass you can immediately start searching for another pass in any park (as long as you have Park Hopping and the park isn't at capacity). I do bet some parks will be cheaper to start with, but that is a tool they will use to control crowds among the parks, ultimately I don't know why they got rid of FP+ from a logistics perspective it was way better at smoothing crowds throughout the day (no running right at open for a Genie+ uses, since you picked your time) and controlled crowd access at each park by enticing you with the ability to skip lines.
