Hello all! We just returned from the world Saturday and had a blast!

I did want to leave a tip that we didn't know before hand and hope it helps others to not get frustrated.

We were at Animal Kingdom on Wednesday and it was so crowded. Not really a big deal we were going to take advantage of the Fast pass and just do what we could. we had dinner reservations at 4:20 so we decided to get a FP for Expedition Everest. It was for 4-5pm. You didn't have to swipe your card cast members were handing out the fast passes so we went to get one for the safari as well. The time for that one was 4:20 to 5:20. All conflicted with something so we thought we wouldn't be able to use them.

We gave our Everest FP's to someone standing in line thinking we wouldn't be able to use them.

Then we talked with a CM and found out that they don't care how late you are with the FP's, just how early you are. So if you miss your time frame don't fret! You can still use them. It can be confusing when they put the ending time on there making you think that you only have until then to use them.

So save those FP's just make sure you use them that same day!

Thanks for the tip. We will be there soon & will need to get FP's for different rides in Epcot. We have gotten them before & didn't use them because we didn't get to the ride during the time on the ticket.

Thanks so much for sharing! I had no idea. We have never been able to ride soarin' in any of our trips because we wouldn't have been able to get back to it during the time frame of our FP's because of ADR's or we couldn't get FP's at all. I already told DH that Soarin' will be the first thing we do at Epcot, even if it kills us! :rotfl:

You are welcome. We were so frustrated about the fastpasses but more than one CM told us that they understand you get held up that they are more concerned about you being early.

We could have done Expedition Everest, and didn't. That's the worst part.

We've always tour the parks early in the morning, collect fast passes, rest in the afternoon at our resort, and return in the evening and use our collection of fast passes. It works out great, as there never seems to be lines in the morning, but the evenings can be a little crowded.

That sounds like a great plan, and a great way to get in the the non-FP rides pre-crowds! Am I right that you can't have 2 FP out at once though? Forgive a noob question, please!

You can only have one at a time until your window expires or 2 hours has passed whichever is first. So if you get one at 9:00 a.m. with a return time of 12:00 noon, you are eligible to get another FP at 11:00 a.m. even while holding the 12:00 noon FP at the same time. If that new FP then has a 3:00 return time you are then again eligible to get another FP at 1:00 p.m. So in essense then you can have 3 in your possession. and so on. Does that make sense?

There is a time marked on your FP that tells you when it's only for you to get another FP. This helps alot!

The day we were at AK CM's were handing out the FPS so we didn't have to swipe our card. It was really crowded though. I thought our day there was a bust until about 7 when there was no wait on the things we wanted to do being that the park closed at 8.

The above posters are correct. We've held as many as four to use in the evening when we return. We store them in the pocket on our laynard and have a great evening. We've never had a problem using them, and by following this method we save on park hoppers, which with 8 people is quite a savings. Have a great trip. (Just remember, only get fastpasses for the rides that are popular)

thanks for the tip. I think I had heard this before, but it is great to have it confirmed. :cool1:

Just a tip that I learned from this site and it worked out so well on our last trip. We skipped the fireworks one night at Epcot and went straight to Soarin'. That was my first and last time on that ride(just wasn't for me). We waited no more than 15 min. I would say and there was no line. As we were leaving, the line was extremely long. We skipped parades and fireworks at all parks atleast once and went and rode the popular things as the waits weren't very long. We didn't use Fast Passes at those times either. Try that one day and see if it works..

we also "collect" fastpasses in the AM and use them in the evening. a word of warning. although it has never happened to us, I heard that sometimes they don't allow this at Soarin', if the lines are long. the best time to ride soarin' is at rope drop. after riding it, get fast passes for later that evening. that way you don't miss out. (although they have always let us use them, but we have only tried this at slower times of the year)

thanks for the tip. I made myself crazy "scheduling" around our fast passes. I'll have to remember that for when we go back!
