Fast Pass & going in June--do they go fast,& how do I reduce June gridlock?

I have not been to WDW since 2002. We went in May and used fast pass like experts. DH would get our fast passes for us for one ride while we were in line for another ride using a fast pass. At the time, you could not get a fast pass for another ride until your other one expired, but they would know if you used your first fast pass or not, so techinically you could have two fast passes at once if you did it right.
So here are my questions:
1) Is June so busy if you get a fast pass for a ride in the a.m.and say you can't use it until evening, are you unable to get a fast pass for another ride the whole day?
2) Do many of the rides "run" out of fast passes, or is it just the new rides?
3) Is it possible to for fast passes to kick out with different return times for people in the same party? I would be worried about two of us getting the last fast passes for a particular time and then the other two in our group getting a later time if they ran out of passes.

I am worried about June because many of the WDW hotels are full, and many area hotels are full as well-- I just want to be prepared for gridlock I guess and see how to reduce it.

Thanks All!

1) went at Easter when crowds are largest - no problems with this question. Just get the bigger ride or rides early. There are plenty left for the lesser rides.
2) Very few rides ever run out before late in the evening.
3) You have no worries here (assuming you get all the fastpasses at the same visit). If you end up with different times, they will only be off by five minutes..... so no real problem here.

Also, you dont have to wait until the FP you are holding expire to get the next set. You have to wait until 5 min after the window starts, it will have the time for the next available FP printed on there for you. So it is possible to hold 2 at once. We will do this alot, once your window opens get the FP for the 2nd ride, go ride the 1st ride & then you dont have as long before the next ride time. I would do the big ones first. Especially Space Mtn I've seen very late return times for that one.

To answer the gridlock portion...
Have you considered joining TourGuideMike? I did for our upcomgin trip in late-Aug(which crowds will be lighter) but he give the best-parks-best-days suggestions (and the "why" behind his method) and it seems so valuable to me. I have not used it yet so I cannot personally vouch for it but I would think that going in a peak season, he could really help. Using this link here it is $18.95 and refundable if you are unhappy-same price as a guide-book.

good luck with whatever you decide.

1- Regardless of your return time the longest you will have to wait is two hours from the time you got the FP. The time you can get a new FP will be printed on the FP. Example, grap a FP at 10am for Soarin with a return time of 2:15-3:15, the lastest you will be eligilbe for a new FP is 12:00, maybe sooner.

2- During our April trip both Soarin and TT ran out of FPs for the day so just arrive early esp for Soarin!

3. The FP times are in 5 minute incriments so the most your FP's will differ is 5 minutes. Just wait until the lastest persons return window starts and all enter together. Example, first three FP's have a return time of 10:25- 11:25 the forth would be 10:30-11:30 so you can all ride anytime after 10:30.

Wow this is great to know.....Last time I used fast pass you couldn't get another one for a different fast pass until you reached the return time on the first one you received. Glad to hear things have updated. :thumbsup2

So what I read from tjmw2727 is that fast passes now have a time on there where they tell you when you can get your next fast pass? And that time can be before your other one even starts?
We are not going to EPCOT, so the Soarin' ride is not an issue to me---we are just going to MGM and MK, each one day, so I really want to make the most of it.
It was easy to do in our May 2002 visit, it was not very crowded, we read up on how to use FP, and many people were not using the technology because they did not understand it. I figured with it being crowded and people more saavy about it, that maybe I needed as many FP pointers as I could get!
Any other advice is welcome! :)

Yes, you got it.

There will be three times printed on your FP - the time you got it, the time you can get a new one and the return time. You can get a new fp any time after the "new fastass time" regardless of using the current one.

Also, the return times are clearly posted at the FP machines so you can decide prior to getting the FP if its going to work for you.

I recently read a thread in which someone posted a picture of a fast pass but I can't find it now. Keep your eyes open or do a search if your interested in seeing one.

Its really not very complicated, just hard to explain!

Also at MGM I believe the Lights Motor Action show is not connected to the other Fastpasses, in other words you could get a Fastpass for Tower early in the morning and immeadiately send a group member to get FP for the first show of LMA.
