Fast pass for people arriving later?

Family is meeting us later in trip. Tickets all linked to my account. All onsite.
I can make fast passes for all of us on my day 60 regardless of their arrival date, correct?
What if they have a package, no discounts? I read someone couldn't book passes for family who booked packages.

I read the FAQ, but I was still confused. :)

Myself and Micky are on one package, arriving before everyone else.
My brother booked his own package arriving 2 days later.
My sister booked her own package arriving 3 days later.
My other sister booked room only and bought tickets, arriving 3 days later.

they are all linked to my account in MDE, friends family list. I already made ADRS for us.

So on 8/26 when I can make fast passes for my arrival date, can I make them for everyone for the trip on that day?

I think you should be able to as long as everybody is linked. I made reservations for my mom and sister for a trip I wasn't even on because they were under my account. But I get confused by the separate arrival days in the system as well.

Thanks! I thought I could but someone just said they couldn't do it because the other persons ticket was bought as part of a package?

Hopefully someone else knows?

I agree with MouseBucks6. I think you should be fine as long as everyone is linked in mde.

If everyone is linked you can make them at your 60 day window unless they bought packages. If they booked a package the system may not see their tickets until their 60 day window.

Well that sucks. We all won't be able to ride anything together that isn't standby. They won't get FOP.

Why not with a package? That's a stupid rule.

I'm not 100% sure but tickets in packages don't exsist to the system before the 60 day window. I know there is a ticketing CM on the boards who may have a more concrete answer.

@hiroMYhero any ideas here? Will package tickets show up before 60 days if someone else in party checks in on their reservation earlier?

Not her of course, but I don't think so. Here's the difference (and the problem) as I understand it:

- For purposes of MDX and booking FPs, tickets bought by themselves are valid immediately and on any day. This is why you always see at least a 30-day window from today for booking FPs when they are attached to your MDX profile. This is also why you can practice booking FPs before 60 days prior to a room-only onsite stay.

- Tickets bought as part of a package are not technically usable until the date of check-in--meaning they don't really exist until then. The MDX system doesn't recognize them until 60 days before check-in, and does so to enable the 60-day booking window all onsite guests receive. Because of this, guests with package tickets can't practice booking earlier--only when it's the real deal. Package tickets can be used up to 10 days earlier than the check-in date, but that can only be arranged in person at WDW.

Dodgy system if you ask me.

@wilkeliza @mesaboy2 Thanks guys.

Really bummed about this. I wanted them to be able to go on FOP.
The day we are going to AK is an early entry day. I suppose if we get to rope drop for the early entry and fast walk over to FOP the wait won't be too horrendous?

I think other fast passes shouldn't be too bad - I can probably get Soarin' etc. within an hour of ours? Like I will book all of ours for the whole trip, then I will get up early on each persons fast pass day and book theirs to try and mirror ours?

Any advice?
I'm certainly glad I found this out now rather than morning of! :o

Are you doing FoP at the beginning when everyone first gets there? I would just book your FoP first and then change party to add them as their FP+ windows open up. I booked FoP for the first 2 days of my trip 60 days out and had no issues whatsoever. I doubt you will have too much trouble getting an FoP FP+ for everyone that lines up together.

And worst case scenario, go during morning EMH.

Maybe I will try to grab a FOP fast pass for Micky and I on day 3 of our trip (not likely), day 5 and day 7. Then we can use them for us at one point, then my brother and sisters can just use my band to get a chance to ride it. I'll just people watch or something while they are on it.
I will feel so bad if they can't get on, I told them I could make fast passes for all of us.
I'm a dud. :(

I make ours (we are going for 9 nights) on 8/26.
My brother's will be available on 8/29 and my sister's on 8/30. I will get up at 6 am (chicago) to make theirs for them to mirror the ones I've already made.
My other sister bought tickets separate so she's golden, I can make all of hers! :)

I was going to say you should be fine as I did this for our trip starting this week. However we have APs and wouldn't have thought about the package affecting things. Sorry :(

Thanks! :)

I'm going to make 3 fast passes on day 7 (myself, Micky and my one sister). Then I will jump to day 3 and 5 to try for two more for the two of us.
If I can get some for us on our 3rd day, I can give away Micky and my day 7 ones to my brother and other sister.

Worst case if I can only get day 7, Micky and I will give up our FOP passes on day 7 so the 3 of them can ride it. We will come back to Disney in a few years and they may not and I want them to have a good time.

I think u will be fine getting everyone's FPs when their booking windows open up. Especially since u plan on Day 7. That would be about Day 4 for your brother and Day 3 for your sister. Like I said, I had no issues getting FPs for Day 1 and Day 2 of our trip. Oct/Nov is pretty busy at Disney, but at least it's not Christmas week!
