Hi All,

This is my first time taking my two boys, 5 and 7, to WDW. I have a 4 day park hopper and am planning to go to AK one morning. I have an 8:25 Tusker House reservation which, as of right now, is before rope drop. We later have a 7 dinner reservation in Mexico at Epcot. I was planning on staying in AK until 3 or 4 and then hopping over to Epcot. My question is do I use my fast passes for AK or Epcot. I really haven't planned any full days at Epcot, I was going to try two evenings there and I know Soarin and Test Track are both great rides.

Thanks

Personally, I would use my fastpasses at Epcot because three of the tier 1 attractions can get really long lines. Since it doesn't sound like you will be rope dropping Epcot at all, fastpassing would be your best bet at getting to ride both Soarin and Test Track within a reasonable amount of time. You can probably do at least one popular attraction at AK before lines get very long after your breakfast, depending on how long you spend at the restaurant, and depending on the date you're going. However, if this is your only AK day and it's very important that you do all of the popular attractions and walk the trails, too, of course you'd need to weight that in.

We're doing an AK/EP day at the end of August. We decided to standby the rides we want at AK - Safari, Kali, Everest (single rider since DD5 isn't tall enough) and maybe go to Conservation station before heading back to the resort for a break. Then we have FP+ for Epcot starting around 4pm (SE, LWTL and FEA). We'll also standby Soarin' & try to meet Joy & Sadness, if wait times aren't outrageous.

It might depend on what you are planning on doing in AK.

We are splitting an AK/Epcot day - morning at AK and evening at Epcot. I'm planning to book my fastpasses for Epcot so we can get Soaring, Mission to Mars, etc.

For us, we're planning on being at AK at rope drop, and riding Safari and Everest in the first hour or so. I don't expect any other rides to have super long lines (when we go, Dinosaur is closed, kids aren't tall enough for Primeval, and I don't want to ride Kali because I don't want to get grossly wet), so I don't mind sacrificing morning fastpasses in AK for afternoon/evening ones in Epcot.
