fast pass express question

We will be in Orlando in May and will only be able to do universal 1 day. We plan on doing IOA. I am going to buy the express passes and have a question. I know you don't have a set return time but is there a time period you have to wait between rides. (Can we go straight from Hulk to Spidey or is there a time we have to wait in between?) Thanks for your help.

When you buy them, I do not believe you have to wait. However, use them strategically if you really must buy them. Don't waste them on short lines and don't blow them all before noon. Don't just spend them all first thing when it's not too busy.

With the express plus, just walk from one attraction to the next. Again, check the posted wait times. If it's 15 mins or less, save your express.

If you have express, you may be able to go to both parks in one day. Commando style, but it is doable.

Thanks for your answers. I had thought about buying the passes ahead of time because we will be doing IOA on Friday of Memeorial Day weekend and thought it might be crowded.

You can order them online and then pick them up at the kiosks right in front of the parks. It's really easy. All you have to do is swipe the credit card that you made the purchase with for verification reasons, enter your confirmation number and viola- you have your tickets!

You mention that you can purchase the Universal express plus tickets online & then pick them up at the parks. Have you got the web address? I've searched & can't find it.

How much are they? A friend is coming to universal and wanted to either get the express pass or get a room one nite for FOTL-they are staying in condos with alot of family-I am not sure which is cheaper-there are 5 of them and the best rate for room is $164 . They will be there the week of 3/20-3/27

I thought with the Express Plus passes that you could only use it that one day in ONE park.

That's how it works, except during the slow season. During the slow season you can get the combo express plus (more expensive), which allows you express at both parks for one day.

We will be there on a weekday the first week of May. Will the lines at that time justify buying an Express Pass??

Thanks

We were there last year for the first week of May. The lines were great and we didn't need to use FOTL all that much.

I really wish they would offer the Express Pass for both parks during the summer. I personally wouldn't mind paying extra. I think it would be great for someone who's been there several times, but doesn't have the time to do multiple days. This would allow you to really do the things you love in one day.

Oh well....C'est la vie!!!! :)

It depends on your touring style.
If you're there at 8am, first in line to the gate, and take a lap, there will be no lines. Most arrive between 10 and 11, they're crazy arriving late. In the afternoon, there might be 45 minute waits for the big attractions, in the summer, its 90 minutes. You see, that's the problem with trying to give wait times for rides. The lines grow at 11am thru the afternoon. In the morning, it's 10 minutes or less.

Here's an idea for those who are wondering what to do.
Take a lap at IOA arriving at 8am. There will be no lines. Save your express tickets if you pre bought them.
When you get back to the front of the park, decide if you want to take another lap, or go to USF. If you want to take another lap at IOA, go to the very front and buy an express pass book (if you don't have one). If not, go to USF and buy a book over there.

$0.
They don't sell the express books anymore. They sell express plus passes, which look just like park admission tickets. They cost anywhere from $10/person - $25/person, depending on the crowd. They are park and date specific.
