OK - its me the PITA again :)

I am reading and reading and reading about the FP+ and trying to figure this all out -

You get to make 3 FP+ ressies per day?? Do you get to get regular fast passes or are you limited to those 3 FP+ ressies?

is 3 the maximum number of FP+ a family can have or can each of us have 3 FP+ ressies?

I know the answers are in this board but the more I read the more confused I get :)

You get 3 per person per day in 1 park.

I called disney last week because I wanted to make sure that we could still use our annual passes for paper fast passes as well as our magic bands for the fast pass plus. I was told that we are not "supposed" to do it, but if the system allows it, then there is nothing they can do about it. 3 fastpasses in one park per day does not work for my family, so if it doesn't work when we show up in 3 weeks, I plan to not use my bands and use my actual tickets instead.

OK - so that means that we would get 12 FP+ for our family of 4? but only in one park - so we couldn't have our 12 in MK and then still get 12 in HS the same day?

I am sorry if I sound like a broken record but it is all very confusing and new to me :)

Did you make all your FP+ ressies or are you just going to do one day and see what happens?

Thanks so much!!! DISboards! I don't know what I would do without you all!

Hi! I just jumped onto the boards to see when FP+ goes into effect. Do you know? The WDW website says its still being tested. I'm trying to plan for a March trip. We are expecting more crowds on this trip than we have ever experienced before, so I want to plan as much as possible.

You only get 3 FP+ per day period, so in your scenario you could only have them for MK or HS, not both. If you're planning to park hop you may want to do rope drop at your first park and have your FP+ scheduled for afternoon/evening at your second park.

It's completely rolled out to all onsite guests now, but I don't think they've done anything for offsite yet. I would expect a full roll-out for all park guests by the time your trip and it's very possible that the paper FP machines will be gone by then too.

ok - so EACH person does not get 3 FP+? we have decide as a family where to use the 3 passes?

why does it have to be so complicated :confused3

Actually each person in your party can absolutely have 3 separate fast passes that are different from everyone else's or you can all have the same, or half of you can be different. But each person's selections must be for a specific park. Doesn't accommodate park hopping (no idea if that's in the works or not)

We're going in 25 days, and did all our fast pass+ selections on Sunday. And in some cases we all had the same ones. In others, my son and I had completely different selections than my wife and daughter did.

Thank you - that makes sense -
so here is my last question - if i get a FP for a ride and my family wants to go on with me, do they each need their own FP or can they get in line and get on with me?

just don't want to make the ressies and find out a screwed it all up :)

not that I am making ressies yet :)

Sorry, I should have specified in my post, but it sounded like you knew that part. It is 3 FP+ per person, but each person must use their 3 in a single park.

Everyone with a ticket must enter the ride on their own FP+, you can't take your whole family in on yours. It's like the current FP system but instead of everyone giving the CM their paper FP, each person scans their MB.

That's OK - I am figuring it out - so I am thinking that we are going to end up really only getting 3 fast passes cuz we will have to go on all the rides with the kids - oh well - no matter - it is going to be a great trip and we will just use our time as wisely as we can

my husband and i have our DD1 with us and i was making all 3 choices for both of us and then i realized that i cant go on spinning rides, but he can go with her.. so then i had to re-do it and choose 3 for him, and then 3 for me. It is good because then we essentially have 6 fast passes for the day, but hard too because i can't seem to figure out how to do say 2 separate FP and 1 joined one... its selecting either one of us or both of us and then selecting the FP+'s.

I was told by two separate cast members since Sunday, that the KTTW cards will also allow you to get additional "legacy" fast passes in addition to the 3 FP+ that the magic bands get you, so in my mind, we're using the FP+ for the more essential fast passes (like TSM at DHS, or EE at AK) which means not as important that we hit rope drop each day, then we can use the cards for additional fast passes in the park as we tour. Just be sure when checking in that you ask your cast member for the KTTW card in addition to activating your magic bands!

Been here since Saturday and was given cards in addition to the magic bands. Our cards are not working in the fp machines at all so we are unable to get regular fp.

well - it looks like it will be interesting to try to figure all this out! I know that either way - it is going to be awesome cuz we are all together but - I don't know why it has to be soooo complicated - can't it just be fun?@!#

I have an email from guest services saying that we can use our annual passes to get regular fastpasses in addition to our fast pass plus..if they give me a hard time I will just pull out the email.

I do not think your email will make the FP machines give you a ticket:rotfl: I will be there in 12 days and have our FP+ filled out and will have our APs, so we will see how it goes.

Please let us know. We have APs, and we'll be staying onsite in January and I want to know what to expect.
