Fast Pass+ cheaters guide?

This will be our first Disney trip using Fast Pass+ Magic Bands. Is there a thread someone can point me to with a guide on how to book, suggestions, recommendations, etc on how to score good time slots?

I'm totally unfamiliar on how to do this and our date to start booking is in just a few days.

**Also we'll be vacationing with our 2.5 year old so I know this will automatically eliminate most of the "hardest to get" Fast Passes (ie. Expedition Everest, Soarin, etc).

Any recommendations on "must do" fast passes for a 2 yr old?

In my experience you may not always get the time slot that you want initially but book something that is workable and then go back and adjust the timings after they are all booked. I often finds that this shows more availability than the initial booking stage.

For fastpasses for a 2.5 year old, I would recommend a combination of milder/stimulating rides (Peter Pan's Flight, Winnie the Pooh etc. and Character Meet and Greets like Mickey Mouse etc.)
