I have never used the new fast pass system with a park hopper before. Do they allow you to pick multiple parks in one day?

Unless something has changed since our trip in January 2014, no. You can only use your fastpasses at one park. We used ours in the whatever park we planned to visit in the afternoons & evenings. Worked out well for us. Although, in mid-January we really didn't even need them for most attractions.

No. Once you've used your FP at one park, you can physically go to a second park on a given day and get an additional FP from a kiosk.

There's a huge thread on here all about this stuff. The guy who started it will likely jump in and post the link, but it's easy to find.

The only way you can do multiple parks in one day is if you use your first three FP+ selections then physically go to the FP+ kiosk at the next park. So you can't select Everest, Space Mountain, and Tower of Terror off the bat. You will need to do your selection for one park, use them all up, go to whatever park you want for your next selection (and most of the top tier ones may be gone by then).

Correct. But, once you've used up your first 3 FP+ in one park, you can choose your 4th (possibly 5th or 6th) at a different park... BUT only by going to that park and using one of their kiosks.

Very valid point. This is another reason why the wife and I think hoppers are now "de-valued" for the money they charge.

But is the availability of late-day FP+s any lower than the availability of the old paper FPs was late in the day? E.g. you can never get a TSMM FP+ in the afternoon, but you were never able to get a FP either.

Depending on where you start out and where you are going next, it may be a better use of your time to FP the second park. We are hitting am EMH at AK, going to a water park around 10:30/11, and then have FPs booked for MK that evening.

That's a good strategy. I like that.

Ok, where a the kiosks? if front of each ride?

Not completely knocking the new system. We just never had any issues with the old getting FPs when we wanted or what we wanted. I just assume it was the time of year we went and my family size?

We used the new system in April (and are going to again in December), and don't really have that many qualms with it either.. it's just different and takes time getting used to. I just think for our family it doesn't make sense to specifically seek out to buy hoppers... especially considering you can't choose which parks you want to use your FP+ in, but are limited to one (either the one you first go to and hope to get a 4th or 5th at the second, or not getting any for the first park, and putting your eggs in the second park basket.. then having to rush over there to make sure you get the times)... kind of takes away the "bonus" of flexibility for use... that's why we don't seek out buying hoppers when we go. We just know that we'll be in MK on day X all day, choose out FPs accordingly, and get a 4th, 5th, or even, 6th FP. Last trip we got up to 8, I think? and got to see everything we wanted to see, then some.

That's why I wasn't really sure. WE don't usually do the park hopper, but I am going with a large group that wants them, so I am following the masses.
