So next week Monday (7/22) my 60 Day window opens. I have 2 concerns:

1) When making FP reservations do you recommend selecting an experience by Morning, Afternoon, Evening, or by Select a Time?

I’ll start my search with the most difficult, 7DMT, SDD, FOP for each specific day, then back fill with other experiences.
2) Is that the most effective strategy vs completing each day and risk not having an opportunity to select the "hard to get" on another day?

1. Slinky
2. FoP
3. 7DMT

That should be the order. I don't select any of the time options on those 3. MDE will offer the earliest available on the day.

Hey, thanks again for replying; So do I just select Slinky for example and all the available times will be shown without selecting "Morning", "Afternoon", "Evening" Or "Select a Time"?

Yep! Just pick your day and park and it will show the first available times.

Start on your last day and work back to day one. When accessing the FP selection screen it matters not how you choose. It will give you 'some" available times but you can adjust that through the app/website... None is set in stone until you select confirm. Peruse the times and choose the one you like. If you find none to your liking pick the nearest time and then go back and try to modify later after you confirm the selection.

Well, at 60+1 we’ll be at AK so FOP may not offer the greatest choices, but I’m thinking I’ll take what I can get. Then at 60+6 I’m thinking we hit AK again, and Park Hop to MK mid/late a.m.
I’m confident in getting a good time for
FOP at +6, but wonder if a better strategy would be RD FOP, and using my 3 at MK when Park Hopping? We do plan on visiting MK a couple of times earlier in the week as well, so we’ll have FP those at 60+2 and 60+5.
Just wondering what’s best when Park Hopping from AK to MK?

I would get the FoP FP. Seems like you are going to be there during the Extra Extra Magic Hours, so take advantage of them! It might be easier to RD FoP during those. :confused3

It's easy to get day of FPs at MK. You can book FoP, use it, then immediately try to get FPs at MK. You do NOT have to use 3 first if you park hop.

Here’s how my FP panned out for my 09/09-09/16 trip. All my early ones are 9:30. Latest for SDD is 5:45

SDD 60+3 Evening 60+8 early
FOP 60+7 Early
SDMT 60+4 and 60+6 both early
Test Track 60+2 early
FEA 60+5 early

Everything else was easy to get at the 60 day mark at 7AM. There was even a late FOP on my 60+1 but passed since doing AKAH that night. You will be fine. Just make sure you know what parks you are doing and when and then start backwards. You can also book just the hard ones instead of all 3 at once and go back and add the other easier ones once the tough ones secure.

I always do FOP first at 60 +4 or so. Then it is 7DMT followed by Slinky. After that I am usually in no hurry. I get up early do those then usually head to work. I finish the rest at work. It can be risky for some others but realistically it's just the wife and I and we usually have no issues with the rest. Our window is Monday as well so you must be going on September 20th. I have based my strategy somewhat on the fact that we have Ap's and I go on the WDW site every few days and look at FP+ for thirty days out, ( the farthest out you can book without a resort reservation but with active tickets). What I find is other than the ones above you can usually still get FP+ for everything else. So if I book those three first thing in the morning and the others later or even several days later I still get what I want because we have not got to the 30 day window yet.

Thanks, I'm hoping my wife is available to help on Monday (6:00 a.m. CDT). She can take 3 Days, and I'll take 3 Days. I figure even if FOP at 60+1 is later, we'll take it, I can either Refresh, Refresh, ... or worse case, RD FOP on 60+1. So my strategy will be do SDD first (60+4), then FOP (60+6), FOP (60+1), 7DMT (60+5) & (60+2), and Test Track last (60+3). Then I'll back fill with the "easier" ones.

I know that's a bit different from working from the latest to the earliest, but if she can help, I'm hoping we'll be fine.

Did ours this morning with virtually no issues. It took maybe 20 minutes. Only disappointment is everything is tier 1 at HS now, so we are going twice once with a SDD FP and once with a RnRC FP. AK twice with FOP and on the Saturday we leave our bus is at 1:30 but we snagged a FOP for a third time in the morning before we leave. Gonna be a good trip!

We had pretty good success yesterday morning as well. No FOP+1, but wasn't counting on it, may RD it that 1st Park Day.

As far as SDD, we got it at 60+4 at 1:25, which is fine. We'll likely EEMH so I'm hoping we can hit ToT and RnRC early in the a.m. And we're doing MK 2 days, at 60+2 7DMT at 12:15, at 60+5 7DMT at 10:25.

And lastly, we did get FOP at 60+6 at 9:35. Not sure if we're going to keep the EE and KS (10:35 & 11:40), or cancel those, and try for other Same Day FP+ when we Park Hop after FOP.
