What happens when I'm 70 years old and want to rebuy after the expiration?

No one knows. Disney could offer extensions as the contracts get closer to their expiration or Disney could let the contracts expire, do a full renovation of the resort and sell new contracts from scratch.

Ya, I was wondering if they will offer extensions soon on the VWL contracts like they did on OKW.

It's OKW, BWV, BCV and VWL that all expire in 2042, how come it was only OKW that was offered the extension? Cause it was the oldest? From what I read at the time, most people were giving the extension a present day value of $5-6 per point, a lot less than Disney was asking for. It will be interesting to see what happens as I currently own OKW and BWV and soon VWL (if it passes ).

From what I read the members were offered to extend their existing OKW for a limited time for a cost to them of $15PP. After the promotional period was over they could still extend but it went to $25. That also expired too.

And, ya your right, cause it was the oldest I heard. Thats why my fingers are crossed for VWL eventually. Might/might not happen..... probably won't.

Nobody really knows, and Disney hasn't stated an official policy. So everything you read on the topic is speculation; some ideas being more well informed than others.

I would be willing to bet that they would not offer any extensions like the did at OKW because that process was a failure and they don't have the legal right (POS or otherwise) to enforce the special assessment as written. Whether they'll do it, I'd say it's about 50/50. If they do it, I think the most likely options are that they wait until much closer to the end OR they do it totally differently, maybe as an incentive for an additional retail purchase.

My wife and I will be 92 when our BCV and VWL contracts expire and 107 when our AKV contracts expire. I hope we can do a 1400 point year before we quit, and gift them to grandchildren.
