Fast Food Blvd to open today

Well, I gave guest services the heads up about what happened and Universal called my home today. I restated my story and they asked me to fax in my receipt for reimbursement. I told them that would not be necessary (more trouble than it's worth) that I just wanted to let them know the chicken was inedible. I truly think it can cause damage to other people with dental work like me.

I let them know that we were very satisfied with our trip otherwise and would be back in the future. I think the rep was actually stunned that I wasn't angry or anything. They must deal with attitudes quite a bit.

Anyhoo, it might not make a bit of difference but I spoke up and gave them my 2 cents.

Thanks for doing that! I think a lot of people complain on message boards but never actually let the establishment know of the problem. You did the right thing!

I had the clogger burger, buzz cola and lard donut today. Although all good, was very annoyed that it cost $20. I usually don't eat that kind of stuff so I wanted to get it out of the way all at once lol.

good to hear you liked all of them.

I am usually not a picky eater but....the meals that we had at Fast Food Blvd were the worst of our entire 8 day vacation. Three of us had the fish and chips and felt that it was dried out and not worth the $12.99. The remaining 4 in our group had the chicken waffle sandwich and didn't care for it either. The specialty donut was delicious though. We wanted to try a new counter service offering so chose this place over Louie's or Thunder Falls, both of which we really like.

We went Saturday evening for dinner. Not sure if they have changed the chicken coating or what, my dd13 had the chicken dinner and the breading was delicious and not at all hard to eat. DH had the chicken and waffle, and he enjoyed it, I found it too sweet, so definitely not my thing. DD15 had pizza as she does all the time, I tried it and felt it needed more sauce (only at the crust was any sauce visible or able to be tasted, it was mostly cheese and pizza crust). I can say that the Buzz Cola was delish, kurly fries at Krusty were great too (tasted much like Arby's). Sunday morning we tried the Lard Lad donut, one for the 4 of us as they are huge, and thought it was good as well. DH tried the Duff Beer, said it reminded him of Budweiser in taste and the light was better than the regular.

One thing about the chicken and waffles. They are waiting for their industrial waffle maker to arrive so they can make fresh waffles for each order. Right now they are using frozen waffles.
