Ok, I promise you I am not complaining. I am in love with Universal and all things Springfield. But, I realized this morning that that super-duper hard coating on the fried chicken at Cletus' has chipped a little bit of dental bonding off my front tooth. I posted earlier about how hard it was to eat and that my jaw actually hurt after eating it. So, buyer beware, if you have any kind of dental work (that you would like to keep looking good) don't bite down into that chicken!! I'll be visiting the dentist when we return home to patch it.
Oh you poor thing! Definitely do not listen to DH, and DO go let them know about your experience with the chicken. If you made something that hurt someone's tooth, wouldn't you want them to tell you so you never did it again?
This wasn't a Universal thing, but on our last trip to
Disneyland I thought I had killed a tooth when I bit down on a sandwich skewer. One of those knotted ones that looks like it is from a plant, but it's super hard. It was put diagonally into a sandwich, and I thought it was straight up and down. i was very hungry and enthusiastic about my sandwich, and whammo, I was in tears. It hurt, off and on, for 6 months; I had just had a dentist appointment before the trip, I did call the dentist about it when I got home, over a weekend, but when they called back it wasn't hurting *at that moment*. It finally calmed down just before my most recent dentist visit, and they found no evidence that it had damaged anything, but it REALLY shocked the nerves in my mouth. They weren't surprised; they had heard of that before, I guess.
So I really have empathy for you!!!!
This new stuff they are adding looks pretty neat. I've let myself sort of ignore it, mainly because I haven't watched the show in years (though I really like the ride), but it is nice that they are adding stuff! And a few of those things will be nice options for us.
There's a review up on easywdw.com, too. He says that the brewery for the Duff beers is one of his least favorite breweries, but that the Duff beers are actually good. I look forward to trying one.
