I knew it would be a good day. It was sunny and bright when we left POR for Epcot. DH was happy, he'd enjoyed his "Blue Plate Special" that morning in the food court, and I was feeling pretty perky after two pots of coffee and of course, a banana.
This was a slacker trip, no commandos here. We only had three things on our Epcot "must do" list, Test Track, Le Cellier, and a margarita from Mexico. I love to people watch, and Epcot, for me, is the perfect place to indulge this pastime, preferably with a strawberry margarita in hand.
After a leisurely stroll through Future World, stops at both Innoventions, and thoroughly checking out the pin stations and carts for the still elusive Princess Aurora, we headed over to TT to pick up fastpasses. With that accomplished we went to World Showcase to make a lunch ressie at Le Cellier.
I'm not really a thrill ride type of person, and I guess most people on the Dis wouldn't consider TT a thrill ride, but it makes me hoot and holler, so it's a thrill for me. We zipped through the fastpass line, and we were off!! What fun!
We were early when we arrived at Le Cellier in Canada for lunch, but that wasn't a problem. We'd never eaten there before, and I had heard so many good things about it so we were eager to try it out. Our server seated us in a nice , private booth. With wine in hand and yummy breadsticks to nibble on, we ordered the Cheddar Cheese Soup I'd heard so much about, a Sirloin Steal Sandwich for me, and Barbecue Glazed Beef Tips for DH. It was all delicious and very filling. I would love to go back and have dinner there one day.
We slowly made our way towards Mexico, stopping a couple of times to just sit in the sun and watch the people of the World go by. Eventually arriving at Mexico, we stopped so I could get my much anticipated strawberry margarita. Another Diser (and fellow Canuck), Taryn, had introduced me to the margaritas at Mexico during DATW at DisCon. They are extremely yum!!
We watched the wonderful acrobats perform at China, poked through the many shops along the way, and watched the drummers perform in Japan. By the time we reached France, I was ready for a rest, so we sat by the fountain and I told my DH (again), about meeting our Trip Board Moderator, Marla, in France during DATW. Marla and I had had a nice chitchat at this very fountain while we waited for the other DATW participants to figure out where THEY were, and finally catch up with us. What a fun night that was!!

It was dark now but still very mild out, so we grabbed some chips and a beer from the United Kingdom and listened to the "British Invasion."
As we were exiting the park, a woman stopped us and had me do a rather involved questionnaire. I couldn't help it, but in the back of my mind while I answered the questions I kept thinking "maybe, just maybe, this means I'll get one of those highly coveted discount postcards!!" LOL
By the time we got back ot our room at POR we were pretty tired, but it was a happy tired. It really had been a wonderful day, except for one thing............there was another message from my friend Gina2000, I'd missed her again!!!!!
