Hi,

Leaving in 2 weeks for Disney with family, we have 2 young children. Where can we eat at that is quick and taste good at the parks? We are going to Main Street Bakery in Disneyworld. That is the only definite place so far. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.:cool1:

Magic Kingdom - Main St Bakery
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons
DHS - Starring Rolls Cafe or ABC Commissary
Animal Kingdom - Grab a bite before you go. Otherwise there are a few carts around that have muffins and coffee. Not all are on the DDP, but most are.

Sunshine Seasons has a pastry section, fresh fruit and a egg, bacon section...the lines can get long since there are only 2 places open but it is good food

Magic Kingdom: Main Street Bakery
Disney's Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary, Cup o'Joe to Go, Starring Rolls Cafe, and the Writer's Stop
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons and Boulangerie Patisserie in France (if you don't mind a late breakfast)
Animal Kingdom: Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery (Africa)

If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you could also go the the counter service restaurant there. You could get up early and get food for your family, then bring it back to your room and eat before you go to the parks.

That would also be my recommendation if you are staying on-site. Making kids wait to eat breakfast at a park might not be a good idea.

Consider you have to get them up, dressed, go to the bus stop, wait for the bus, get to the park, enter the park and wait in line with all the other people who are also getting breakfast... Might not be the best start of the day for kids.

I agree. We usually pick up something at Publix to eat for breakfast but discovered on our last trip that the Polynesian has some wonderful pastries that make a good breakfast. If you are on the Dining Plan you can use snack credits (1 per pastry) or CS credits (they gave us 4 pastries for 1 CS credit). My wife would go down each morning, grab a Kona Coffee and some pastries while I got the kids ready through a combination of begging and threats. Then a quick pastry and off to the parks. It worked so well that we won't be bothering with the cereal bars next year.

A box of cereal from home and milk from the hotel quick service place or gift shop is the best solution for us. Hotel CS's have plenty of good choices for take-out back to the room, too. Everyone can eat when they want - kids eating while parents dress, and vice versa. You don't waste estra time that way, especially if you want to be at a park first thing in the morning.

Breakfast or granola bars work well, too. A mid-morning snack can then be had in the parks if you had a light breakfast.
