FarmVILLE on Facebook

I joined a coop and planted more then 400 of the crop (and harvested them too) it is showing we are 15 short for the gold and is not even showing what i contributed to the coop. I doubt I will join again till the get the bugs out of it. Can everyone else see what they have contributed or is it just me? Could it be that people are contributing but it is just not counting them in?

Mary Anne, I think I'm in the same co-op as you. Is it Karen's squash one? I harvested mine this morning and it only showed my totals when I was harvesting. Now it just shows everyone else's. It's really frustrating that we are just 15 short. I would like to join another co-op when this one is done...

What is the best way to visit Neighbors to fertilize and feed chickens? A lot of the time I visit and they are out of fertilizer and/or chicken feed and it was a waste. Do you have a special plan for visiting? Like the same time every day? I just started playing about 2 weeks ago and am still learning :).

I hope these people with 0 don't get credit too, that would not be fair.
What Zynga promised is that everyone in the co-op gets credited the same.

So that means it is on you to trust the people you are friends with.

It's not that THEY are out of fertilizer/feed, it's that YOU are out of it. :)

You can only fert/feed at a neighbor's once every 24 hours. There is a limit on how many fert/feeds you can do each day as well, regardless of the # of neighbors you may have. I think it is 25 feed/50 fert, at least it used to be. (I don't visit neighbors anymore so I'm not sure if it has changed)

Hmmm ... I guess I must be running up against the 24-hour thing then because I go to one neighbor's farm and don't have enough fertilizer and then to another neighbor's farm and I have enough.

I am frustrated by the co-op thing. I know it's a holiday, but we had a slamdunk of making gold with about 5 hours to spare and we missed it because someone didn't harvest in time. :sad1: So now we are going for silver, and it's a bummer we didn't get it because of one person. I know that's how co-oping works, but it seems like a lot of work for one sheep. :confused3 Does anyone know if you still get the grape sheep if you make silver (or bronze?) It wasn't clear, I am only doing it for the sheep, I don't care about the XP or coins.

I hate to be witchy about it, but I almost want to say on the next co-op, if you can't follow through PLEASE don't join..other people are counting on you if you DO join, you know? Leave the space for someone else, or they know they could make allowances for people who are going to flake out. I could have planted the whole field in grapes yesterday, but I just planted the two hundred that were needed, I should have just planted the whole field- because that's what we were short. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

That's a bummer. :guilty: As far as I know, you only get the sheep for the Gold Medal. I finally was able to join my first grape co-op this evening. I too am doing it just for the sheep.

Now I just have to decide if I am going to be OK with just 1 sheep, or if I need to have a dozen like all the other colors.

But, I do agree that you need to make it clear to the people who join that they must participate in a timely manner, or it is all just a waste.

Yes that was me, my Farmville name is MarieFarmer. We did get the gold and I did join another. They are still working on bugs. People are getting upset by those joining and not working on the co-op but I think everyone is still learning how it works. I do like the "mail truck" we got as a prize :)

I joined one this yesterday that had all crops seeded already. I planted my full field figuring that even if I show no contribution I tried. Partly i wasn't sure how it worked yet. It was my harvest crop that got us the gold medal because others didn't harvest.
I think there is a lot of confusion how it works at the moment. This is when I think people will start adding neighbors with proven coop skills.

Yes, the point and purpose of co-op farming is the cooperative aspect, and it really is a bummer when someone doesn't pull their weight. (Of course, in the end, it's just a game. :)) I believe you do get the grape sheep regardless.

Do keep in mind that there are ribbons to earn here.

That's the main aspect that I'm going after. I'm closing in on Level 70, so XP doesn't mean much, and of course, coin means nothing whatsoever. It's really just all about making sure I have a full rainbow of sheep, and working toward the ribbons.

It was the same with the collections. I find them a bit annoying because, despite the indications to the contrary, you can't really legitimately sit down, see what you're missing in any specific collection, read the hints about it, and then go and do something specific to get what you need. The random aspect is sometimes pretty infuriating. I suspect than 90% of the rare items I've ever collected were collected from bonuses, granting those items not because someone did the specific thing that the hint implies, but just as a matter of random chance. If I wanted a game like that, I'd have played video slots.

Regardless, I'm now 9 away from the blue ribbon for Cunning Collector, so it is a good time for them to give me a few more ribbons to pursue.

I think they should have made co-ops "by invitation". Let anyone start one, and then have that person publish the invite to specific people. That would quickly result in the deadbeats no longer being invited.

I was just in a grape coop and we made silver level. When completed it stated what % each person had contributed and how many points/cash we got. I contributed the most so got credited for that (MVP bonus towards the new ribbon), but as we made silver level I didn't get the sheep.

Ok, I don't know what's going on, I can't get to the market or to my gifts. I tried to take care of my gifts and I got a blank page. I join-ed a co-op but it won't let me plant anything.

:headache::headache:

All my crops died b/c I've been really busy at work and then my mom's been in the hospital for knee replace and now she's back in b/c of blood clots in her lungs. All that on top of Easter and I couldn't get to the market to get some unwithering (sp?) so I wouldn't loose everything. I need a vacation!

Is anyone else having problems or is it just me?

Sorry for the vent.

I've been having intermittent problems today. A few times I get a blank screen when I login, then it will work, then something else will go wrong. It's been really hit or miss.

I wish Zynga would FIX the problems with the game instead of adding new things that cause more problems...you know? :sad2:

There are a few issues with that, the most troubling is that that might just arrest new revenues so much that the fail to meet their targets, and their expense budget gets slashed. They are going to have to do "just enough" of both fixing and introduction of new stuff. They cannot just decide to do one or the other, and expect to be successful.
