You're right...the "holiday tree" was from Christmas and are not available any longer. I don't know how your friend got a "bazillion" of them since they were one to a player like the chicken coops. A few of my neighbors have one but I got rid of mine since you couldn't store it.

I'm not sure...but I keep seeing her post (and there's a little picture of a Christmas tree) and it says to "claim your present/gift here". Like I mentioned, I wasn't around at Christmas time so I'm not sure how it all worked, but I'm assuming she might have one tree but a "bazillion" presents to give away???? I'm not sure. I was just asking because I was confused.

when the notice comes up for you to post - go to the little lock icon on the bottom of the notice, do Customize, Specific People, then I use my "Gamer" list, save setting, then post... it should only be visible to the list of people or individuals that you have chosen.

I also have a friend that is posting to give away Christmas presents every day. I got rid of my tree so I'm out of luck

PS....Can someone tell me about all these Christmas trees that I've been seeing pop up. I swear, one of my neighbors (I think she's on here) LOL has a BAZILLION of them but I can't claim any of the presents since I don't have a tree. There an "Ornament Tree" that can be harvested. It "grows" ornaments. Not the same thing as the tree you put all the presents under/into. I still have 6 ornament trees. Maybe thats what they have a "bazillion" of.

Your friends can block posts from any application. Hover over the message, click the 'HIDE' link that appears in the upper right of the message, and choose to block either the application or you. Hopefully they choose the application. Done, they will never again receive a notification from that application. Repeat for other applications as necessary. I have blocked many applications I am not interested in. Very easy, and you only have to do it once.

OR, you can direct your FarmVille or other applications only to your friends who use that application. I did this by first creating a new Friends list called FarmVille. I added all my FarmVille neighbors to it. And as you add neighbors, go back and add them to the friends list. When you are prompted in FV to post a notification, there is a little lock icon next to the Publish button. Click the lock and select 'Custom... Edit'. Change the 'These People' drop down to 'Specific People' and in the box below that, type the name of the Friends list, in this case 'FarmVille'. Click 'Save Settings', then on the original form, click Publish. Only your Friends in the list will see it. Its a few extra steps for you, but only takes a few seconds, and spares your friends the clutter if they can not figure out option one above.

Option two is also good if you don't want certain people to see your FV activities, like coworkers, or bosses.

I have a question on gifts in your gift box. I know you can earn ribbons having "unique" gifts in your gift box. But I'm getting a bit confused on what is considered "unique". I'm trying to earn my last ribbon (the blue one) to complete the "Not Spoiled, Gifted" section. Right now I have something like 25 gifts in my box and it says I need 8 more unique gifts to earn my ribbon. But then yesterday it said I need like 13, then 4, now back up to 8.

Why does it keep changing and how do you know what is a unique gift and what is a regular gift?

Unique means different. You need to have 30 items in you gift box - all different items, 1 of each.

at the same time. It doesn't count if you had a sheep but put it on your farm. It has to be IN the box at the same time to count.. It took me a bit to figure that out as I usually dump my box every day...

Sorry. I find all that stuff on Facebook annoying. And I just ignore it. The only thing I use Facebook for is to find people I haven't seen in years. It's a nice way to connect. But all that other stuff is just silly. JMO.

Yup. I didn't realize that and bought an arborist right after I finished harvesting my trees!

Yup. I didn't realize that and bought an arborist right after I finished harvesting my trees!

Fortunately, I did not use it yet. I'm waiting for all my trees to be ready.

Are you specifically directing the notifications to the new Friends list? Just creating the list doesn't do it. See my post about 7 or 8 back.

I think this will harvest trees like the littlel Farmhand harvests animals. I just claimed this arborist

The tree held 100 presents at any one time but you had to be sent presents from your neighbors. I'm not sure what your friend is doing.

I think there are several ways to get there. But on the left side of my News Feed page, there are links to various things, News Feed, Messages, Events and Friends. Click on Friends. When that list comes up, there is a 'Create New List' button on the top right of the list. Click that to create a new list and add friends to it!

I gotta say that I am LOVING the arborists and the farmhands! i think they should be permanent, like the fuel! They are sooo helpful! I don't remember the last time I harvested all my trees. LOL

The only downside I have seen from them is that you do not get any collection items if you use them. :/
