You have to find the person's facebook account and add them as a friend. After you're friends, then you can send a request to be neighbors in Farm Town.


There is a farm town dis'ers group you can join and there are several of us there that you can add as friends.

I am so addicted to FarmTown right now that its pitiful. I spend way too many hours on there.

I love text twist too. I try not to play it too often because I will spend hours at a time on it. Sometimes I play it so much that when I get off of the computer I am still seeing mixed up letters in my head and trying to make words out of them. How sick is that???

It makes it not use quite as much of your computer's resources. I didn't see much of a difference between being checked and unchecked.

My finger is tired. I have been harvesting all day, but, I made over 90,000 coins.

People in the Marketplace are soooo irritiating with all of the begging and huge word balloons. You can't carry on a conversation with anyone because of the "Hire Me" pleadings.

I did have a couple funny things happen today. I was just hanging around there and made a comment about all of the people "poofing" and someone asked me if I wanted to poof. I thought she was joking around, because she had been in the marketplace for a good while.Then she hired me for a good sized job.

Later, I saw someone whose user name is a fan of a school in our conference. I said hi and told them I was a fan of my favorite school. S/he never answered, so I thought they couldn't care less, until I got a pop up from this person hiring me.

It was a 20000 coin job all by myself.

So the moral of my story is don't go to the Marketplace and start begging like you see so many do. I've found a lot of people are standing around watching, waiting to hire someone who is not begging. People have told me they want people who are friendly in the Marketplace but not begging.

Very true. I try to hire people in the real estate office and the tavern. Last resort is the begging place.

I didn't know you could get hired at those other places. I have only tried to get hired a few times in the Marketplace and have been pretty lucky (except for today). I usually strike up a conversation with a person that says hello to me. The all of a sudden I am in another farm!!

Once in a while when I go back to my farm from the marketplace, I must be too close to another farmer because they show up in my farm. I feel so bad, I don't know how to get them back except for ignoring them!!!

I also accidentally harvested a few items that I shouldn't have (trees) but the owners are pretty nice about it! I am such a FarmTown novice!

Yeah, I recently found out about hiding trees so I can get the fields hiding under them. Problem is I go back to my farm, forget I clicked hide trees, and then wonder what happened to MY trees!

Thats Hilarious! But I have to admit I was driving down the road yesterday and saw some tall flowers that were purple and I thought to myself "They need to harvest their grapes"

I think we're playing a bit too much.

I stopped by the tavern (what is that thing called?) before. I asked...Anyone hiring? Someone jumped on the band wagon and said go to the market. I told them that I always hire people in this place. Must have been someone around that does the same thing. As soon as I typed that, I was working on someone's farm! I always check there and in the real estate office before going to the begging ground.

Ok I'm back and i've decided i'm addicted to this game. At first I was not going to get addicted to it like mafia wars but I am. could not be helped! Just got back from vacation though and did not time my crops so well. They all went to waste because they were not done before I left. shoot!

I'm at level 10 currently trying to get hired right now so I have 2 screens open, DIS and Farmtown. LOL!

ETA: Would love to have some DIS neighbors or friends on there! Not sure how to add that yet but I'll figure it out!
