Farm Town on Facebook...

I got frustrated yesterday. All my animals started escaping through a closed gate like it was an open gate. I moved the gate, so we will see if the animals are still penned up or eating my crops.

Make sure the pen is large enough. It needs to be at least 2 fence widths I believe. Also make sure all your fence posts are connected. I had a horrible time keeping my animals penned when I first stared.

I read somewhere that haybales within fences might keep animals in the fence. I have an open fence with a couple of haybales in it, and the animals never left the fenced area.

I bought a dog house today but we don't have a dog yet. LOL I'm saving for a house and the trimmings (fence, picnic table, grill, path, etc.) and hope to have that set up in a week or so. It's fun to design the farm!

You can also stop your animals from moving by clicking on the wrench.

My farm is not near some of the other farms I have seen, but I am having fun with it. I actually got hired by someone last evening. She let me harvest her grapes and something else (I forget). I really racked up some points!! First time I had over 1,000. I am only on Level 7.

Hi All! Haven't been on this thread in a while. I was out of town last week on business then DH ended up in the hosp over the weekend. Been keeping up with my farm but haven't had a chance to check in here. Everything is back to normal again (whatever normal is ).

Had a little party on my farm last night with a couple if Disers then we moved it over to Ann R's! It so much fun working together with people you 'know'.

If there is anyone that is new and is looking for neighbors send me a PM!

I may PM you later today or tomorrow. I rally should not be on FarmTown (or the DIS) with everything I need to do today.....

My fields are a mess. How do you move them? I thought I would have to bulldoze them and start again.

You do have to bulldoze (and watch out because you can bulldoze a growing field) but if you click on the wrench you can remove the space in-between the fields...then it will let you put them right next to each (almost on top) which gave me one more row in the end....

Thanks! I'll give this a try later today!!

I've been trying to figure out how to make mine closer together too so thanks for that info.

I just started playing yesterday and am so addicted. This game is pure evil. I'm not getting anything else done.

I am in need of a few more neighbors - anyone want to be my neighbor? Please???

I sent you a PM to add me as a neighbor, I'll gift you a dog. :thumbsup2

How many points is each level, You know like level 14 is 3003 points.

I don't know but it seems to me like the higher level you go the more points it takes to get to the next level. Maybe it's just my imagination but it I have been at level 27 for about 2 weeks now.

I got hired twice last night. I am a bit slow at the whole harvesting thing, but the farm owners "seemed" okay about it (from what you can tell from an Internet game anyway). I did harvest a tree by mistake when I was supposed to be harvesting watermelons :scared1: but the owner explained how to hide trees to make it faster and easier.

That seems to be the way to rack up the points.

Thank you for the tip.....I am in the process of bulldozing and replacing my farm without spaces. What a difference!

The pen is big enough. It was where the closed gate fence was located. I moved it and now they are all staying in. Go figure.:confused3

If you need a neighbor, just let me know.
