Fare Drop using SWA points?

Hi all,

I am planning to book a/f using a mixture of $$$ and points for an upcoming trip to DL in August. I have been watching the fares and hoping for a price drop. No luck so far. Since I'm starting to worry about a price increase, I am thinking I should just book. I am curious what happens with the tickets I have booked using points if the airfare does drop? Can I rebook and re-deposit the points into our accounts?

All you need to do is modify the existing reservation made with points and it will automatically deposit the excess points back into your account.

That almost sounds too good to be true! They're not "marked" in any way, nor do they have to be used within a year or anything like that? Gosh, I better book today. Thanks!
