Fantillusion and fireworks

Hi all,

I'm trying to sort out my plan for 2 new DLP experiences for me - bonfire fireworks and then Fantillusion when the floats "change".

If the fireworks start at 9pm, I'm planning to be lakeside near the HNY and Sequoia Lodge at around 8.30pm - would this work?

Also, although I've seen Fantillusion before, I've never been in a spot to see any of the floats change . I'd really like to see Jafar, Ursula and especially Maleficent when they change. We should be able to see the parade at least twice, maybe more. Where should we stand to see these floats change, any ideas?

The best place to see the Villains change, especially Maleficent, used to be by where the stone benches to the stage by the castle were but that's a few years ago now ..... so I fear it might be totally out of date.

I would get to the lake well before 8.30pm for the fireworks. As the event is free lots of locals turn up to see them.

oh I just thought of something else - when we've seen Fantillusion before, its come from the bottom of Main St USA and ended in Fantasyland, thats the normal way, right? And if Maleficent changes around the front of the castle stage area, does that mean that Fantillusion still goes around the back of the hub stage and past the Castle?

Ooh ..... I've only seen Fantillusion the other way round - when it's started up by it's a small world and ended up in Town Square. Perhaps I'd better shut up and let someone else help, lol!

We were by the Fire Station & I think we had the Mickey float change, if I recall I think the Maleficent float changes on Main Street about mid way

When we went in December we always watched Fantillusion from Casey's Corner and had a great view of the Maleficent change - it was literally just down from Casey's, but from where we were sat we could also see the Jafar change halfway down Main St USA.
