Has anyone stayed at Fantasy World Resort? It's located "directly behind Olive Garden" on I192. Pictures look very nice, but I'm hoping for someone to give first hand review. Are they nice? Being so close to a restaurant is it noisy all hours of the night? Etc

Thank you

I stayed there about 4 years ago. It was all right but kind of dated. The upstairs floor squeaked and the full size bed sunk in the middle. The location was fine, we weren't bothered by noise. You might try to get a more current review, hopefully they've been renovated some.

I stayed there my first ever trip to WDW in 1989. Didn't notice any noise, but then we were on the go all the time and were tired when we got back to the villa.

It was OK. Hopefully they have updated the units now.

Just stayed there for 1 night 3 weeks ago. I guess it depends on what you are used to and your tastes. We have stayed at places such as Sheraton Vistana (both locations), Marriott Cypress Harbour and Horizons, Disney Resorts (almost all), Hard Rock and RPR at Universal, etc so we have pretty high expectations. Fantasy World did not meet them in any respect. They are basically old townhomes that they have tried to convert to a resort. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on and the sheets were scratchy and itchy. It was decorated okay and clean, just something seemed very off and "low class" about the whole place. The only compliment I can give is the basketball courts which is important to my son and husband. If you've never stayed in a villa or timeshare type property then you may appeciate the extra room in the townhouse, but pools and property are pretty basic. I strongly suggest paying just slightly more for one of the other timeshare/villa properties.

We stayed there four years ago and it was our first town home experience. We loved it then because we had never had so much room. We got an awesome price through hotelmartusa.com ($65 including taxes). Since then, we have stayed in several other town homes and villas that have been a little bigger and newer, and we have been spoiled so unless we got that price again we probably wouldn't go back. I have not seen these villas for less than $100 for a couple of years though. I personally don't think they are worth more than $100 though. The area was not noisy at all. It is back away from the Olive Garden. If you take a left (east) onto 192 there is a Wal Mart about 3 or 4 miles away, so that was good.

Wow--I didn't realize that they were still renting. We started staying there back in the late 80's and had many great vacations there. One was a Family reunion and we had 4 different condos during that vacation (lots of Family members attended--- ages from age 2 to 82). I wonder how they are decorated now? They were pretty new back then and very nice. Oh--such wonderful memories !!!!!
After we bought at DVC in 1992 we rarely venture out that way---oh--except maybe to go to Smokey Bones (by Publix) !!!! :rotfl2:

Very much a middle-of-the-road timeshare complex. Won't compare to the nicer top-shelf properties, but a good step up from the worst of the lot.

we also stayed there years ago. it was nice and clean. we enjoyed the pools. they had a little store. it was right behind olive garden, and you could walk to a few little stores. also that whole strip has restaurants, etc. i liked having all the room. it was very clean. like i said it was a while back.
