Other than the length of itineraries, what are the physical differences in the ships themselves?

The main differences are in theming and entertainment. The Dream is art deco while the Fantasy is Art Nouveau. The adult area on the Fantasy has a Europe theme (the Tube) and there is more adult area on the Fantasy. Where the Dream has Goofy Golf the Fantasy has Satellite Falls which is an adults only area. (edit: just realized that I flipped the ship around...Goofy Golf is in the back of the ships and both of them have it...need more caffeine before I post things LOL and completely forgot about the dry dock which added Satellite Falls to the Dream)

The last thing I can think of that is different are the shows. The Dream has three shows Believe, The Golden Mickeys and Villians Tonight. The Fantasy has 5 shows, A Fantasy Come True, Aladdin, Wishes, Believe and an Unforgettable Journey. After many trips on the Dream I can't wait to see some new shows (and not the Golden Mickeys) when we go on the Fantasy again later this year!!

Satellite falls is now on both ships after the Dream emerged from dry dock. The Dream also has Vanellope's Sweet Treats, which is an upcharge dessert/sweet shop. There is rumor that the Fantasy will get similar. The Fantasy also has an expanded water works/splash pad behind the second funnel. The Dream just has a seldom visited bar. The kids areas are also different with Star Wars being present in the Dream kids spaces. The Dream also has the new vacation center, which will likely carry over to the Fantasy after her Dry dock ends in May.

What exactly is Goofy Golf? Do you have to sign up or just wait your turn? Is this the simulator?

There is a putt putt course on the Fantasy.

Just the speculation based on the recent casting call for the Dream:

DCL confirmed it last week - First showing will be on the November 6 cruise.

Ah I missed the part where it said "joining...." and the the listing. So unless the keep villains tonight on the 4 night trips, which there is just no possible way those perfomers would survive 7 nights of shows, villains is indeed going. I better book another trip quick.

How are the 2nd deck rooms? I read a lot of reviews complaining of noise.

There is a minigolf course on the Dream and Fantasy. Both also have golf simulators. The minigolf does not require a reservation like the simulator...just show up, grab a putter and a ball and have fun.

How's the golf simulator? How do you sign up?

Completely forgot about all the updates that were made during dry dock on the Dream, last time we sailed was before she went in. What is the vacation center?

The vacation center is a new area next to the art gallery where you can book future cruises, learn about the adventures by disney, etc. They have an electonic waiting system, etc. It isn't thrilling, but is a pleasant experience.

Has the Fantasy been dry-docked yet?

Fantasy goes into dry dock at the end of April until May 16th. It will have a quick 3 night run with two stops at CC on May 17th to the 20th before it goes back to it's regular 7 night itinerary

Awesome! Do we know what the upgrades will be?

No...I asked last week when I was on the Fantasy at the CC reception and no one would commit to telling me. :) lol
I am hoping for Vanellope though instead of the Arrrcade. And I am hoping they work on the vibration issue. It was REALLY bad last week in aft. Glasses were jumping around on the tables
