Fantasy Stateroom Help - WWYD?

Hi all,

I'm currently booked in 6552 and 6554 on the Fantasy. These connecting rooms are over the Buena Vista Theater and directly above the first lifeboat. We won't have a view straight down from our verandas, which isn't great, but not a deal breaker. The verandas should connect, which is a huge plus. My concern is noise from the theater. I haven't seen many reviews on these rooms - are they loud? We'll be on a SWDAS cruise.

Another option is to switch to 6038 and 6040. These rooms are adjoining, not connecting. We would be more forward, so not over the theater or the lifeboats. Can anyone confirm that these rooms have connecting balconies? I looked at some pictures and it looks like there may be a structure that won't allow the balconies to connect. I'd rather connecting rooms, but connecting balconies would work.

Edited to add (thanks to Lisa F.): Another option is 6678 (7A) and 6680. These rooms connect. The obstructed view doesn't bother me. What about the vibrations? Should I avoid aft on the Fantasy?

FWIW, DS and I will be traveling with my parents, so it's not necessary that our rooms connect, but it would be nice for DS to go back and forth between the two rooms.

I am traveling with my DS and parents and have two rooms booked on the dream... connecting was a must. I ended up booking a 7A for myself (with very small obstruction) and a regular connected verandah for them on deck 8. I don't know if you always travel solo with your kiddo but I do, part of the luxury of sailing with my parents is the ability to not always be the one who is "on" - having the rooms connect would help with that as i can just push him through the connector and get a few minutes of peace trying to get ready or have my mom help him or give him a bath or whatever, without having to go out and around. It's a small thing but as long as I am going through the effort to plan what will probably be a once in a lifetime trip, I wanted it the way I wanted it.

You are over thinking it.

These cabins are great even though above the lifeboats.
It allows a quick lifeboat escape if evacuation needed, right ....

They connect internally. The verandas will connect.
You are close to the sea. No outer skin on verandas.
Life is good.

How much time are you going to spend in the cabin? On the veranda?
Trust me, not much of either after the first 30 minutes in the cabin.
Have you sailed prior? If not you won't be in the cabin that much. IMO

It's all good. It's a veranda, that looks out to sea.

You will be too busy outside the cabin to worry about any colorful boat below your veranda.

If you do find yourself disturbed with the view on the veranda. , .... Sit down and look straight out to sea with a beverage.
If seated on veranda and looking out to sea, you will not see the boats.

You're probably right. My TA said the same thing . I'm more concerned that my parents will take issue with noise from the movie theater below us. DS and I sleep like rocks on the ships, so we'll be fine. I just don't want to deal with complaints from the folks in the other room.

I keep reading vibration is bad in aft on Fantasy. I would avoid those rooms.
